This establishment has been around for over 45+ years. It was started by Zoto himself with his wife.
Unsweetened tea with a mushroom burger (dressed with two tomatoes and some iceberg lettuce), fries and a pickle and tiny coleslaw on the side. Cost around $13+tip
My guests had 10 wings and the other had a sandwich (I forget which one). But the one who had the wings had complimented the buffalo wings were delicious.
My burger was Okayama (yes yes m joking I know that's in Japan). It was only with mushrooms and cheese was extta. I definitely should have added cheese. Plus I wish they had a sauce to go with it. Maybe even A1 sauce could have helped it be less plain. I know it's a diner but I feel like of they added just a tasty sauce it would have brought the car dish to a new level.
The seating at the booth was a bit narrow so be warned. No wonder why most of the people already here were in the middle open tables.
The parking lot is rather huge, and there is a traffic light right at the entrance so easy to pull in. Just be careful not to drive on the wrong side of the road. It does look like it might confuse someone who might not be paying attention or distracted by weather etc.
All-in-all the experience here was positive. I'm glad we could come here. Other diners in my area have been raising prices pretty high. This little gem looks like they are still reasonable. So please support this place. It's an iconic place. I've gone here every so often in the last 20 years. They have never been a bad place to go. The staff and owner's are willing to help and are very polite. I'll definitely drive out of my way to here again...
Read moreHad breakfast there this morning with my daughter waitress was very unfriendly. Did not acknowledge us when we sat down for about 20 minutes. I had to go up to the front desk and complain. Keep in mind we were thee only black people in the restaurant. After I complained she finally came over. She took our order and was very rude rushing us to order not pleasant at all. When our food came dropped it on the table didn’t ask if we needed anything and walked away. At this point I went up to the front and spoke with the man up front, I asked him if the waitress had a problem. Was this a racist thing? he said no no. That’s not it kept tryna to say we’re a little busy. It had nothing to do with being a little busy because all of the tables around us were being serviced accept for our table. He said don’t make this more than it is. I don’t understand what that means. He then said so what do u want me to do get u a different girl? I said yes, someone came over with a much better attitude, very pleasant. After we were done eating breakfast we left a tip for the nice lady. The first waitress who didn’t even acknowledge us came and picked up the tip. Thats unacceptable took our money but didn’t want to service us. I will not be returning to this place. They are RACIST and if you are African American stay away that’s not acceptable! I don’t want u to feel...
Read moreRACIST DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! I am deeply disappointed in my experience at Zotos Diner. My mother and I were completely ignored by our waitress for a good 20 minutes before we even realized she was meant to be serving us. When my mother stood up to address the issue, the waitress suddenly appeared and was rude and dismissive in taking our order. To make matters worse, she never returned to our table and seemed to be intentionally avoiding us.
The most upsetting part of this experience was the clear racial discrimination we felt. It was evident that we were being treated differently because of our race. When we asked for a new waiter, the owner brushed off our concerns and tried to make us feel as though we were overreacting. This lack of acknowledgement of our feelings only added to the feeling of being mistreated.
Overall, I would strongly advise against dining at Zotos Diner. The staff's behavior was unacceptable and the lack of apology or acknowledgment of our mistreatment only further solidified our decision to never return. It is a shame that such discrimination still exists in this...
