Wellllllll sorry for the disguisting picture, but my philly roll was not edible! The salmon was tough, fatty and all around a bad cut of fish. This was my 3rd visit at this location ( the first time we dined in) and it was amazing. I placed a carry out order the second visit and it was less than desirable, but I still gave them another chance. Today I placed another carry out order and it was the worst sushi from taste and looks alone. I aways order the same rolls crunchy shrimp tempura and philly roll here and at another sushi resturant because it is what I like. I know what I ordered and what I should be getting, yet when I called in with my complaint today they tried to persuade me i ordered tuna lol. No!!! Philly roll is smoked salmon. I did ask to speak to a manager but the bar manager insisted to “help”. I could hear him talking to a lady who I assume was the manager?? Anyways she never came to the phone to talk to me or aplogize, instead trying to defend her butthurtness.. the bar manager was nice and tried to make it right , but the yapping manager was putting him in a corner to where they didnt want to refund me for the rolls. He wanted to remake them but unfortunately I live an hour away. And trust me it is not worth a 4th trip to eat there again!! Poor customer service, poor quality of food, and they dont know their own menu well. Do yourself a favor and just skip this location I will stick to my usual spot from now on. My wife and I decided to eat here for a date. I had the volcano roll and she had the USM roll, both of which were very good. However, the quality of the food is not the reason for the 1-star review.

After finishing our food, we were given the check, which was paid for with a gift card and a credit card. I told our waitress to use the gift card first, and then the rest would be paid for by the other card. Shortly after, someone who was not our waitress approached us asking how much was on the gift card. I thought this was a strange question, but told them it was $30. This raised my suspicion, but didn’t concern me that much.

However, I was then told that the card didn’t have a balance on it, and the receipts were handed to me. The one for the gift card stated that $25 was used, and the rest was picked up by the other card. The transaction history from the gift card showed an initial balance of $30, $25 used for the check, and a remaining balance of $0??

The other $5 was used as a 20% tip. They never explained this to us, and never returned after giving us the receipt. We were not a party of 4 or more to warrant something like that, and it was done without our consent. The situation is not helped by being lied to about the balance on the gift card, despite the transaction history showing that it was used to pay for the check and the tip. Just when I think I have written enough reviews and that there is nothing else to say, I go into a restaurant, and then I happen to find a place that you weren't expecting by accident. However, at the same time, you are happy that you did.

So, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of this review. The first time I went there for lunch, I sat in a booth so I could work while eating. So, I tried the Shrimp Teriyaki Box. It was terrific. So much so that I decided to order my dinner to go: the Steak and Salmon Hibachi Dinner Combo. I had my steak medium well. Later that evening, when I partook of my dinner, that steak was SO tender, juicy, and melted in my mouth. There is nothing like a good cut of meat and someone who knows how to cook it just right.

The next day, one of my colleagues was interested in trying it after I told her about it. We ordered the following: Hibachi Fuji Yama Combination, Gyoza, Tempura Combo APP, along with a Fried California Roll, which was a first for me. But you’re talking about some kind of good.

The service on every occasion was fantastic; the staff were very attentive and cheerful, offering recommendations if you were unsure of anything. The atmosphere was engaging, clean, and not too noisy, where you can not only hear yourself think but also the other people in your party.
