Buyer Beware. I ordered takeout from this restaurant today around 3:30 P.M. I chose it in part because of reviews I read that said they were great with dietary restrictions. I made it clear that I had allergies to flour tortillas. I had to be this specific, because the young waiter taking the order didnt understand what a gluten allergy meant. I specified with the flour tortillas, and I requested an allergen warning to be put on my food. I ordered my child a taco a la carte. They were unable to do that. So, I got him a kids meal, even though nothing else but the taco would be eaten by the child. I requested no lettuce. It was incorporated into the taco with the melted cheese. That was less of a problem to me. Mistakes happen in a kitchen. I ordered a Carne Asada and Enchiladas Verde, as well. The Enchiladas Verde I ordered with bean instead of chicken for a vegetarian meal, and I verified 3 times before the end of the order that the Enchiladas would be coming in corn tortillas, due to the allergy. I warned about the cross-contamination danger and verified again that the allergen warning be on the order for the kitchen, a common practice in a restaurant. I also requested that raw veggies be added atop the Enchiladas such as onion, tomato, and lettuce. This is a pregnancy craving that I have been having, which was our main reason for ordering this meal today. I picked the order up a little before 4:00, and headed home through weekend traffic across town. When I unpacked the food at home at 4:45, I discovered that my Enchiladas were not in the bag. I called the restaurant, and they said that they were there in the kitchen. Please come pick them up. My husband went to get them for me, returning at 6 P.M., after driving there and back again. When he returned, and gave me the Enchiladas I had ordered 2 1/2 hours before, I cut info them and found they were wrapped in flour tortillas, and that the toppings had been left off altogether. I immediately called the restaurant. I asked if they had been wrapped in flour tortillas. The to go waiter realized his mistake immediately and asked me to come back again to get new Enchiladas. I told him that I could not now due to time constraints. He said he didn't know what to do and that a manager would call me back shortly. A manager never did call me back. I paid a considerable price for this meal, and only one of three people in my household was able to eat it. The Carne Asada was also reportedly unappetizing and dry. I could let everything else go except for the flour tortillas wrapping up the food on the meal with the allergen warning for the flour tortillas. That coupled with the fact that it took more than two hours to "complete" the order, and that they requested I return a third time for mishandled food, with no management communication whatsoever makes this somewhere that I can never eat again. It is also somewhere that I would NEVER suggest that anyone with any dietary restrictions should eat. Steer clear, There are plenty of other...
Read moreAs soon as we walked through the door there was an employee sprawled out on a booth and he screamed out. Mind you this is our first impression of this restaurant. We get sat at our table where the booth seats were covered in tortilla chip crumbs. That alone made a statement for itself but we choice to stay because we hoped our service would make up for the dirty table. Then we’re sent out our waitress who at first was nice. She got our drinks but upon returning she was to focused flirting with the boy who had been laying on the booth to take our order. One person in our party had to repeat their order 3 times before she understood what our person was ordering. She kept looking our at the boy, talking, and giggling while actively trying to take our order. I had to wait 5+ minutes before she finally finished taking my friends order which was three chimichangas and Mexican rice. Literally that’s it. After that my other friend and I ordered. About 20 minutes later in an empty restaurant, we were literally the only people there, we got our food. Our food was lukewarm not even hot. Then they messed up one order and had to take it back. All of our drinks were empty by the time we got our food and had been empty since about 5 minutes after we originally sat down. Our waitress was very scatterbrained and distracted. She never once looked over to check on us not to mention we’re in an empty restaurant. Any time we’d go to ask for a refill she would run off and ignore us calling her. After we finished eating I asked for to go boxes and tried flagging her down twice. The boy from the beginning even called her and she whipped around with a big smile for him. That same boy was staring at us for the entirety of our meal. This made us very uncomfortable considering he should be working not staring at people while on the clock. Once she came back she had to go cups not plates for our empty cups and full plates. Then she asked us did you say to go cups or to go plates? We said plates. She brought us our plates and our ticket. Needless to say she did not receive a tip. The only enjoyable part was the young man who seated us and took our money. The host. He was respectful, kind, and helpful. He had a great attitude and even offered us bags for our togo plates and put our stuff in the bags for us. -...
Read moreGuess he was the owner's son! Our server was terrible and my food was not good. When my fiance and I first got there, the server asked for our order but we weren't ready so we asked for a few minutes.....he never returned! After about 10-15 minutes of waiting, we had to ask someone to find him. He came and took our order..... I had a fleeting thought that he is not writing this done.....but some restaurants train like that..... Unfortunately, that is not the case here. He came back after about 15 minutes with food but only for one! He gave my babe his order and asked if there was anything else needed. I said yes, my food! He actually asked if I had ordered something....like really!?@#!... LOL. 😡. So he left I assumed to put my order in......again after a long wait, I asked someone to check on him. When he came with my order, it was not good because it was rushed....I had ordered the Chimichanga....it was soggy and the vegetables inside were raw! Two ladies across from us commented on how sorry they felt...not sure if they were usual patrons and knew this was the norm or they too couldn't understand how ridiculous the situation was..... We are new to area and were really looking forward to eating here...not sure if we will return! Boss's son...
