As a mexican I will say this, there is nothing remotely authentic about the food here. Absolutely everything is boxed or canned and not properly seasoned and no for you southerners i don't mean salted. The staff was rude we were asked when we walked in if we need a menu. We were not greeted for 10 mins. Server asked very abruptly what do you want to drink. Took our order, brought out the food and harshly set it on the table. My food was cold, my coworkers food was drenched in oil (who deep frys a quesadilla) she told the server it wasn't edible tool the plate came back and handed us separate receipts and walked away. We thought maybe she was having a bad day we both had previously been in the service industry. But every table around us got the hey yall need a refill? Would you like anything else? Is this together or separate? Thank you have a good day. She was blantly rude to us and not once did we say or do anything g to deserve the disgusting service. On top of that the food is horrible. The only thing they have going for them is their smokey sauce they give to you with broken...
Read moreThe establishment seem pretty dated, looks like it was something else prior to being a restaurant, political views don’t bother me at all because it’s their freedom to do as they please for being a business owner, I just enjoy Mexican food lol. Now I will say that the menu seems a bit simple, nothing really deep in authentic food that i saw, just normal standard American style Mexican food, I order a platter to try a lot of what they sold, and I was unimpressed by what I was eating. Presentation wasn’t bad but the taste was not what I expected, the beans and cheese seemed really oily and the tamales I though were supposed to be three I only counted two, the tacos weren’t too bad, the ground meat was soft, I think I really enjoyed those but overall I just don’t think this is a contender with other places around town, I’m not saying it can’t be fixed but I do think some revamping of the building as well as the cooking would definitely help keep them going, I know times are rough but I would love to see this place revamp their...
Read moreWORST Mexican food I have ever eaten. ZERO stars on everything,, except service.. NO seasoning - not even salt on my food --- and no seasonings on the table. I spent $43.00 for lunch for 2 people for the fajita plates (one beef- one grilled chicken). I found the menu to be scarce in choices other than tacos and enchiladas. I ate at this restaurant many years ago & at the time, I thought it was pretty good, but never will I go back after this experience. I love Mexican food & I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants. IF you want a really good no excellent meal that has an excellent menu, and cost less, you will want to try LaFuentas in Purvis....worth the drive! No, I don't own or work at the Purvis LaFuentas nor am I related to anyone there .... I'm just a consumer and even though you may have to drive a little to eat in Purvis (10 miles from Hattiesburg), you will save the cost of the fuel by the difference in price. Yep, to say I was disappointed in the Mexican Kitchen, is...
