Highlights: Excellent food, delicious and visually appealing. Everything is Vegan. Give the mac and cheese a try, it's an unexpected surprise.
We wanted to try somewhere new, so we gave this place a try. Right now they are take out only with a walk up order window or online ordering. There are a few tables and seats outside. There's not a lot of parking nearby so plan accordingly.
We tried several items this round, and we WILL be back for more. Went home with leftovers of everything.
The Food:
The Sea Serpent Sub: An Italian sub, and pretty authentic! Great flavor and not dry, all those mixed flavors you expect are there.
D.Best: A pizza steak. Really good and a decent size. Would for sure get it again.
Beach Buggy Mac & Cheese: A surprising standout. Best way to describe it as the diner mac and cheese I remember, but the REALLY good kind. Big elbow mac noodles, and a really genuine cheesiness. It hits everything you'd expect in a good, if simple, mac and cheese. Whatever else you get when you visit, I suggest you try this.
Root beer float: Simple and to the point. It was good. Not a standout like the food was but good and even better when it melted in a little for that creaminess.
Funnel Cake: Delicious. Not quite the traditional, it's a little crustier, almost like a churro, but really good and I'd certainly get it again.
The Buzz:
This was weird enough I almost felt I was on a TV show. On our way back to the car, another couple asked us how everything was. Ok, not that weird, but we stopped by CVS on the way out and another couple there who had seen us eating asked us as well. So people are talking and are curious. I'm sure they'll try it, you should too!
Great job Boardwalk Vegan. We'll...

January, February, March and all of April does not fall on Easter Sunday. I have screenshots and GPS saved data to prove that I indeed wasted gas with no order.
I was able to order previously without having to provide my name and phone number as it is illegal to store without consent.
When I called when they were open surprisingly, they stored my phone number illegally from a third party applications such as Caller ID to another third party application which is a program that was not developed by Boardwalk Vegan without my consent. Told me they could do whatever they want with people numbers because they have Caller ID as that is identity theft as they have just admitted to committing.
Walk into the restaurant yourself and find that they do ask to store your Full name and number into a third party application that you were not made aware of. I requested privacy as well as not receiving unsolicited calls and now text unbeknownst to me without consent or informing their customers about.
I told them that is illegal and I did not consent to having my phone number stored for a quick pick up and I was refused service.
Your comment about me not calling on a blocked number is illogical. How was I mean? I did not consent to you storing my personal information which is illegal. How is that being mean?
You refused me service for your illegal activities. Look in the mirror.
Discriminating against others for excercising their American rights is also illegal. Also, being prideful, lying, etc. about your illegal activities is a sin.
I suggest you ask God to forgive you first...
Read moreWe eat here about once a week. I love the vegan wings. I get the wings with sauce on the side (because otherwise it's VERY salty) and then bring it home, slice it thin and then put them on a bed of greens with the blue cheese. Delicious!
I've eaten every faux meat item on the menu and it is VERY good (if much more salty than I'm used to) - with the faux meat items you really can't go wrong (I particularly love the cheese steak and roast beef sandwich) but I go back week after week for the wings.
We also have sampled the gluten free pizzas which were quite good, and a vegan root beer float which I would happily order again even though I eat dairy.
Do not order their pre-made salads. A friend did this and refuses to give them a second chance because it was SO depressing.
The fries are fine for homemade but kind of of limp and soggy. The "cheese" sauce more than makes up for it though and I like it better than dairy cheese. I always buy extras and would happily drink it by the cup if I thought my doctors would approve.
Other than the salt, and lousy salads, it is notably expensive. Yesterday I purchased "mozerella sticks" and a large wings is was just under $35. As a life long vegetarian who knows that other places a bit further away offer the same items at a lower price, I find this a bit frustrating.
Finally, I wish they had more gluten free options. My husband is a gluten free vegetarian and it is frustrating for us to have to go to two take out places for one dinner when my son and I are...
