The Tuscany Cafe has a small and unassuming sign on West Chester Pike. You will miss it if you blink. My advise is: Don't blink! Because you don't want to miss this place. The Cafe was worth the extra effort to find parking.
Resuming our weekend coffee tradition my companion and I found ourselves at the Tuscany Cafe early on a rainy Saturday morning with half a dozen of Havertown PD's finest! This is always a good sign. If the police are eating there then you know that you're going to get great food for a great price!
The Cafe is a full service Coffee shop as well as a full service breakfast restaurant. Tables are neat, clean and orderly and the entire establishment has a well cared for atmosphere. I would describe the decor as "quaint" with touches from your Italian Grandmother's house.
I ordered the Crepes with Banana and a Latte; my associate had the Lox and Bagel with an Iced Mocha Latte. Everything was spot on delicious and served while hot. The grand total for two meals with specialty coffees came to about $25 - quite reasonable all considering.
When in Havertown, if you're looking for great breakfast with an outstanding latte, then you should definitely check out the Tuscany...
Read moreHavertown location is an issue especially with parking. From my perspective it doesn't make a difference since I would never return to this place again anyway. I have dietary restrictions one being I have celiac. We started to ask about Gluten Free and immediately before we could finish out sentence they waitress interrupted No no gluten free. We asked about the eggs... annoyingly she just kept say No no No No no gluten free. Nothing while my husband was trying to ask not even the eggs. I told my family to order it would just sit it wasn't a by deal. Then the waitress says after of lh well they can make the eggs on a separate pan for you or you can have a salad. NO THANK YOU. I wouldn't trust them. Give him a couple stars because the decor is nice. My daughters like the crepes and french toast. My husband said his omelet on the bagel was not good. Bagel tasted like a frozen bagel and couldn't eat the potatoes. If you have any dietary...

So when my wife and I spotted this place we were very intrigued by the high ratings and menu. We decided to visit over a breakfast date, just because, and found the place very pleasantly surprised. Not to get my experience expectations up I figuratively placed my emotions at a low so not to ruin the experience.
Experience 1-5 rating:
Food = 5 Atmosphere = 5 Service = 4 (this is always relative to the person)
Coffee = 5
Water with lemon = 5
Tuscany Cafe was a great experience with a quaint Midwest suburbia feel. Comfortable seating and cozy dining experience.
Since we experienced breakfast hours the staffing was lacking a bit, but the server (maybe owner) was very polite and helpful. Once we ordered the coffee, meal, and refill experience was wonderful.
Loved every minute of it. Hope to see it next time we’re back.
