I haven't ordered from a Chinese style restaurant in some years, I usually make it myself if I have a desire for Chinese food. Today I wasn't in the mood to cook, so I went on Google and this restaurant had great reviews. I walked in around 8pm, I was greeted by a friendly woman that took my order. It was a worker at the table eating and the chef at the table with the lady eating. I asked her if they use oyster sauce in their food, she asked the chef and at first he said no, then he mumbled something and she changed her response to yes in some of the food. She stated I could get the sweet and sour chicken. I ordered two, it came with rice and soup, you do get a large amount for the price, however, the chicken smells like old grease and sauce just tasted like sugar...all sweet no sour. The chef didn't look to happy to have to stop eating to cook, and it was evident in the food. Me or the other person enjoyed this meal at all. I will not be recommending to anyone. The lady that took my order is the best part of this...
Read moreFirst time trying this place. I thought it was strictly Japanese food, but later saw they had also Chinese food on the menu. I ordered the shrimp tempura bento box $11 and change. They give a lot of white rice which I enjoy. The California roll was good but only 4 tiny pieces. It left me wishing I had ordered an extra side of Rolls. If only they made the rolls a bit bigger. The salad was fresh and I like how they didn't mince up the lettuce. One comment, the chef should invest in a salad spinner. I tasted alot of water in my salad. I used a napkin to dry my lettuces, no biggie but just a helpful advice. Other than that, the shrimp tempura was excellent. The vegetable tempura although wasn't the star of the show, could've been sliced a little more generously. The Japanese pumpkin was sliced paper thin. As if it were a pumpkin chip?!?! The miso soup was tasty with the right amount of seaweed to tofu ratio. I will be back to try the other bento lunch/dinner boxes, oh and Chinese food of...
Read moreI am so thankful for the experience I had here. I am local and it has not been our go to place, but on a whim to get my son ramen for the first time we chose here. Almost didn’t go in due to size as we were going to sit and eat (not a typical eat in place and we are a family of 5). IM SO HAPPY WE DID. The woman serving us was so sweet and accommodating, she was always willing to serve us and was so kind. The food was some of the best Chinese we’ve had around here, the rice wasn’t the yellow rice that we see so often and had such great flavor, very much like a better hibachi rice. The shrimp lo mein had great flavor, my son’s ramen was delicious and the portions were awesome. My wife’s dinner bento box was big and good! They also had really good sushi. Not every place can do Chinese/ramen/sushi, let alone do it well, yet Qing Mu did! She (owner/waitress) even sent us home with our food bagged up and a handwritten note inside. I hope they have great success and I look forward to being able to...
