We had a post funeral meal there recently. It was very clean and the food was good. However, they tried to overcharge us on our food bill by adding 10 more people to our party. We brought this to their attention and they corrected it. A family member overheard someone on the staff (possible owner) say to the manager tallying up the bill, "put them down for 70 people". That is when we decided to make a count of the guests that attended. We had a seperate bar bill from the food. After reviewing that, it appears that bill may have been inflated, too. I estimated that the bar bill came to $20/person cost to us. Which is very high for the amount of consumption for the amount of drinking going on at the party. Awful! Place looked gross. Walked in to a near empty place. No one was around. We turned around to walk out to eat somewhere else. The guy finally came and told us to sit anywhere. Reluctantly, we did. The server was nice. Ordered the fried clam app. I normally love these, but they tasted like they were fried in burnt oil. I then ordered the baked haddock and scallops. The entree was just bad, sitting in a pool of moisture, but the fish was dry, very dry. Scallops had a weird texture and just.. well bad. The fries were good though. My wife and I went for our anniversary. This was our first time going and got the opening time wrong. They were very accommodating and friendly. They recommend the steak tips, print rib or chicken parmesan. I went with the steak tips with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. The marinade for the steak was just right, they were cooked to a perfect medium and the broccoli was steamed enough to system but still have a little snap, a perfect stream.
