I was excited to visit under the new owner. We sat at one of the small tables near the wall. If you are just having coffee or you are alone, it's not bad. There was no room for our food. We had to condense them onto one plate. Servers are friendly and attentive, I almost forgot to take pictures because the food took so long to come out about 25 minutes. They don't have a full breakfast like other restaurants. My husband was disappointed, 1,2 or 3 eggs with toast and home fries, meat is separate at 4.00 each order. So we both got the hungry villager 3 eggs, but we only got 2, (They did offer to give us the two overeasy eggs to take home when we asked about the menu and eggs) we ordered this so my husband could have the meats he wanted, double toast and eggs, I had the homefries and pancakes . We were told to watch the bill for inconsistency by other customers sitting near us, but our bill was fine. The tea water was boiled, and tea was good đđ» homefries had a taste of onion, I found them to be tasty, the food was good, the pancakes were filling, would suggest a steak knife to cut through, a butter knife takes a bit to cut through the pancakes, blueberries were extra 2.99 so I passed. Coffee is so so. This breakfast nook was my older brothers 1st job as a cook many years ago. The previous long-term owners had a picture with him in it, and it hung up for years, so this place holds memories for me, and I hope and wish them the...
Read moreUsed to come here as a kid and it was top notch, then it sold and went down hill, then it sold again and the quality went back up. Had some good experiences in the last 6 months. That said, the last time the wife and I popped in I was underwhelmed by the quality and the service. I gave them another shot today because hey, everybody has an off day from time to time. Today's experience confirmed that, once again, the place has gone down the tubes. Total time spent there was an hour and forty - five minutes. I don't care how busy you are, breakfast can never take that long. My omelet was undercooked, hash browns were soggy and way over peppered, pancakes and grilled English were fine but nothing to write home about. My wife's meal was another story. Same situation with the hash browns, but the real disaster were her steak tips. Asked for medium, they came seared rare at best. After an hour and a half, she couldn't be bothered to return them for a recook. The marinade was awful, whatever it was, and when she had me try them, I spit it back on the plate. Inedible. And if you know me, you know I'm not picky so if I spit it out that's a really bad sign. Needless to say, skip this place and save yourself the aggravation, time, and money. $40 breakfast shouldn't get this review. I'll stick with Duffy's from...
Read moreThis isnât just a restaurant â itâs a home built on love, respect, and togetherness.
The moment you walk in, you feel it. The warmth. The welcome. The sense that you're not just a customer â you're part of something. This place is more than food on a plate. It's a gathering place, where kindness is served just as generously as the meals.
The family, the crew, the loved ones â they all work hand in hand. Even the owner isnât âaboveâ anyone. Theyâre right there, side by side with the team, showing that real leadership comes from love, not ego. Everyone moves as one, creating an atmosphere thatâs full of heart, respect, and genuine care.
They donât just cook for you. They check on you. They come out when they can, even when theyâre busy, just to talk, to connect, to make sure youâre happy. And if something isnât right? They want to know, not to defend it â but to fix it. Because they care. Because they want you to come back. Because the door here is always open â never closed.
This is a place where youâre remembered, where youâre appreciated, where every visit feels like coming back to something real. Iâve got nothing but good to say about them, because theyâve earned it â not just with what they do, but with...
