I’m solely giving this place two stars on the service I received. My family and I first visited this restaurant on 2/26/23 in celebration of my birthday. I was recommended to try this place by another family member months ago, but finally got around to trying this restaurant out. We drove over 45 minutes from the Cockeysville, MD area to get here and the food was well worth it. We ended up ordering the shrimp & chicken hibachi, I believe some roll with the word volcano in it, a sushi roll that was in a cucumber and another roll that I can’t quite remember. The hibachi was delicious and the food didn’t take long to come out to or take at all. I usually don’t get the chicken when I do get hibachi because usually the chicken is dry. But that wasn’t the case this time the chicken was juicy. Everything was wonderful and flavorful and again the wait time wasn’t long seeing as there was only about 3 or 4 other parties at the table time, which was around 6:30-7pm. We started to receive the horrible service when we had to ask our waitress (Daisy) for a condiment item that she forgot to bring us when she brought out our food initially. We asked for eel sauce which should’ve been something she could’ve grabbed from the sushi bar but instead she was in the back where the kitchen was for about 5 minutes. We she finally brought out the eel sauce that we asked for she stopped with a plate of food in her hand and placed the food at an empty table before proceeding to bring us what we asked for. The whole time my family and I were eating our waitress was eating as well at another table a couple of tables away with her coworkers. Not once did she come back to check on us to see how our food was or to see if we needed anything else like a refill on our drinks. We say there ready to go for a few minutes before I started to drink my water loudly just to get her attention. It was then that she came over with an ATTITUDE might I add, as if we were bothering or inconveniencing her. As she cleared our dishes from the table she had an attitude the entire time and then proceeded to drop a fork on my mother and not once did she apologize for her mistake. After all of that I don’t plan to return to this restaurant, but if for some reason I do I will make sure to not have daisy...
Read moreWe came here on 2/21/2024. It was my friends 16th birthday. We sat hibachi side, my friend’s family tried to order steamed Shumai, duo lin, and me and my friend ordered the seafood deluxe to share. The server, who seemed to be hard of hearing, seemed to have heard us say sushi deluxe, so we made sure to repeat it 3 times. We also told her to make sure it was cooked separate from our friend’s food, as she had a meat allergy. This is what happened; it seemed our server did not hear us properly, and brought out the sushi deluxe, which we informed her was not what we ordered. So then she brought the seafood deluxe, and our hibachi chef cooked it… alongside the meat. Contaminating the seafood. He did it too quickly for us to tell him not to, however it was not his fault at all, but the servers for not informing him. The next thirty minutes was filled with us trying to figure out how to get her order cooked without being charged, as we now had this entire platter of seafood for one person, instead of for both of us to share. All in all, we worked it out, but I ended up having to pay the full price for a platter I was planning to share ($40) because the server didn’t do her job properly. However, despite the server mishap we had a great time solely because of our hibachi chef. Philippino dude, I think his name was Winn. He gave us a 5 star experience and then some. He told us he was only working there for only two weeks, but his skills were as if he worked there 10 years. It was incredible, from the many balloons we got from him, from the squirting lemonade into our mouths, to the pieces flying. If you’re looking for a phenomenal experience, ask for Winn. He was very understanding of our mixup and made sure we had a great time regardless. We are only going to come again for him. His show was incredible. Food was pretty good (but don’t...
Read moreThis is one of the worse places to ever. Everything stated, i was in dismay and did not photograph due to so much back and forth confusion. In fact, I lost track of feeling cozy and great to see friends at a local restaurant.
I ordered the Habachi Grill to treat three Sorority sisters to have a great time together with so we through a decent meal. Our dietary needs are very simplistic. I am a pescatarian (do not want food cooked with meat or same utensils as meat) and my sister is allergic to shellfish (do not cook her salmon and chicken meal near shell fish or with same utensils). The seating was for 6 people, three added to our 3 as combined guest. It took over 30 minutes to place order due to the high level of comprehension and confusion of our dietary needs.
At the end of visit, upon receiving check; we were charged the Habachi price, I paid with no complaints because i knew that i will never return. This was not accurate because two of us they could not properly accommodate. We did not eat off hibachi grill because they could not accommodate us properly or securely. I did not feel comfortable with the level of comprehension and the fact that half of the hibachi grill was not working properly to have enough space to accommodate our dietary request. Therefore, one meal was cooked in back kitchen (her chicken was not properly cooked, no complaints) and I decided to order sushi.
My sushi was the worst prepared by falling apart as i picked up with chopsticks, non-garnished and tasted terrible. I did not eat it. Not to mention, the Thai tea that two of us ordered, we both agreed the taste was horrible and we will never order it again! In fact, I will never eat at this particular location again, due to all...
