On vacation and was sad that Charlie's closed and decided to try this place out. I don't think I would call it a thai restaurant.. Maybe a fusion restaurant of some kind. I ordered pad Thai and panang chicken. The dishes were a good portion and had nice presentation but flavors were not as expected. The pad thai was not pad Thai. It was some kind of noodle dish and brown sauce with a lot of vegetables and cabbage. I asked for this with tofu and the tofu came soft ..not fried like most restaurants would serve it. The panang curry had something missing...maybe fish sauce? It lacked the right flavor and also had cabbage in it, which wasn't good but wasn't terrible. I wouldn't eat her again for Thai food, but honestly, if it was marketed as some kind of fusion restaurant, it would probably nix a lot of poor reviews from Thai food afficionados. The food isn't terrible, but it just doesn't have the right flavor profiles matching actual Thai food.

Given that this place is essentially just a food-court window counter and a kitchen with two people working, the food is actually pretty good. We had the Avocado Roll and the Pad Thai. Both were well made. My wife thought the peanut dipping sauce was a little bland and too glutinous. I thought the Pad Thai was good. We’ve had better, but at proper sit-down places. If this were a full restaurant I’d probably give it 3.5-4.5 stars, but for what it is, it’s 5 stars. The bill with tip was around $40, so a bit spendy for lunch but we don’t feel ripped off. I would certainly have the Pad Thai again. Friendly and reasonably quick service. There are a few shared tables in this food court but just take it away instead.

To start, it took 40 minutes to get our food. That’s outrageous. I know they cooked it fresh to order, but I don’t believe I’ve ever waited so long for Thai food - anywhere. If the food was worth the wait I would be much more forgiving, but it definitely wasn’t. I ordered the green curry which was totally lacking in flavor. It kind of tasted like the curry I’ve attempted to make at home that just never tasted good, so I stopped trying. My husband got the mango curry and it was the same - bland and boring. Finally, I was hoping the mango sticky rice we ordered for dessert would at least be enjoyable. Much to my dismay, there was NO SAUCE on it! They simply cut up the mango, put in a scoop of sticky rice and sprinkled coconut flakes on top. What?! Not to mention they charged $14 - easily the most expensive mango sticky rice I’ve ever had! At least the mango was ripe, the one and only good thing about the entire meal. I would never eat here again and would strongly recommend you choose something...
