Crazy Country Club — Restaurant in Hawley

I gotta tell ya… my buddies and I saw the sign about warm beer and lousy food and we had to stop in. We were on a guys weekend trip so why not? I cannot stress how surprised we were lol. This place is incredible. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a guy wearing heart pajamas (turned out to be the owner) who was just about to get on stage to sing. Shortly after the waitress greeted us with menus and we ordered the wings, mac and cheese bites and fried ravs. There were toilet paper rolls (new) on the table as napkins lol but we were also provided real napkins as well. There was a comedy show that night which was hit or miss but not a fault of the club and it was totally free entertainment so no harm no foul. The walls and ceilings were covered in various tchotchke’s including a giant fuzzy spider, a hat and other things that could “fall” from the ceiling while karaoke was going on. Oh, forgot to say, the ACTUAL mayor of Hawley was there. He gave us all pens. Pretty awesome. The owner and his wife were unbelievable and had a great stage presence when singing. I’ve been meaning to write this for 2 weeks, finally got to writing a review. I went to the Crazy Country Club in the Poconos for my sister-in-law's bachelorette party and WOW we had an absolute blast!!! From the second we walked in, the energy was amazing. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. You could tell it was going to be a fun night right away. The food looked great but we didn’t eat. We had so many laughs, especially during karaoke. The crowd was incredible, totally supportive and hyped for everyone who got up to sing. Whether you're a shower singer or a total rockstar, it's the perfect place to let loose. What really made it stand out, though, was how personal it felt. The owner came over to welcome us and make sure we were having a good time (we were!). And yes, even the mayor made an appearance-just don't try to feed him (inside joke if you've been there!). This place is a true #gem! Havent felt more welcome anywhere else in the US than here. ❤️ Scott, Peggy and staff are fantastic, and the place feels like home. The #bartender and waitress were so funny, accomodating and professional. We were there for lunch, and later came back for dinner and standup comedy which was great. And the food ... jus delicious, plentiful and made with love. Compliments to the cook. #soulfood 🍽 The only drawback we experienced here was to not get a sighting of the mayor of the town who is a regular here, as we have understood. 😄 We will be returning soon for sure!

UPDATE: We went back there 4 weeks later and it was crazier, funnier, better, food = louzier (haha NOT) and overall felt even more at home than before.
