This is a MUST VISIT BREWERY! large and diverse selection of beers from across the spectrum of styles.
all are good to spectacular for their style. After visiting more than 50 breweries and attending a major San Diego beer festival (100+ breweries I believe) over the last year, I've become pretty good at evaluating beers & breweries.
I'm a pilsner/lager guy and they have the best selection and taste of any brewery I've been to. Yet I tasted many other styles and enjoyed all of them. Of course it helped to have an educated modern beer expert with me to remind me what each style is supposed to taste like, especially IPA's.
the space is huge and really well laid out, so can handle large groups or just sipping beers at the bar alone. The bar is large and well designed. There a large outdoor patio as well. Truly a excellently designed and executed facility. Since my background is commercial real estate I have a great appreciation for extraordinary design and finishes, and Common Space did it well!
the night I went there was a burger food truck, one of the best burgers I've ever had, seriously! I'm a former managing partner of a highly rated fine dining restaurant and this is as good as our fantastic chef's could've made.
excellent and friendly beertenders who patiently answered my questions about the beers I tried, and about the brewery operation.
Overall, Common Space is at the elite level of breweries I've visited and beers I've tasted. For sure one of the two best I've been to in the South Bay, and right up there with the best in other parts of L.A., San Diego (where I've been to the most), OC, the Central Coast, Temecula/Murrieta,...
Ā Ā Ā Read morehad an amazing time at Common Space Brewery! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors-perfect for groups, families, or just hanging out solo. The brewery is dog- and kid-friendly, which makes it an easy choice for any occasion. The beer selection is excellent, with a strong lineup of IPAs, but also some great lighter options like their helles and pilseners. My personal favorite was the Food Fight Hazy IPA, but everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. They also rotate in creative and unique brews, so thereās always something new to try. What really stood out was the staff-everyone was friendly and helpful, and even when it got busy, the service was solid. The brewery regularly hosts food trucks, offering a variety of delicious options to pair with your beer, and there are always TVs showing the latest games, making it a perfect spot to catch sports with friends. Thereās ample parking, a relaxed vibe, and lots of fun extras like board games and cornhole. Whether youāre there for a casual drink, a private event, or to pre-game before a concert, Common Space Brewery delivers every time. Highly recommend checking it out-canāt wait...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExcellent per usual! If you're ever down this way, you have to come to Common Space! Fantastic beer šŗ & relaxed vibes! Try the chubby unicorn! I bring home a pack every time I come through! It's soooooo bomb & I don't even usually like lighter beers! It's a lil sweet though, just FYI, but it's a must try!
Super nice staff, and they have special events ALL THE TIME! My favorite is called "plant based" where they have vegan food vendors outside & lots of fun shops inside that sell their wares! This time, it was their first of 2 spooky theme days (the other being closer to Halloween.
All the goth lovers united over coffin shaped skateboards & Freddy Kruger, Swamp Thing & Chucky themed memorabilia. Just great times! The other "plant based" they do is when nurseries come & sell their exotic plants šŖ“! The mango tree I got last year is about to flower & is from there! It's just a great spot to bring a date & even your kiddos. Dog friendly & inclusive to ALLLLLL people, so if the gay flag, people in wheelchairs & BIPOC folks are not your jam, this won't be your tease. Go be boring (and awful) elsewhere... but if you're looking for great people, vibes, beer & dogs? Oh, you need this...
