Cecil's Famous Burgers — Restaurant in Hayward

I used to eat here all the time when I was a kid and I remembered it as a great place for a good burger. I’ve heard this place changed ownership and wanted to see if it’s still good as I remember. I got the Double Bulky Bacon Cheeseburger, with Fries and a butterscotch milkshake. I have to say the burger did not let me down. It was a pretty good size burger the meat was still juicy inside and it was a bit messy with their burger sauce but it added good flavor. It had shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles as well. The fries were shoestring that was lightly seasoned with salt and they were still a little soft not too crispy which I like with those fries. If you like them crispy ask for them to be well done. The butterscotch milkshake was nice and thick, just wish it had more butterscotch flavor. Overall I really enjoyed everything and as far as price wise with all the price hikes everywhere else, it’s still a good deal...

I have been coming here for years it’s been around boy since I don’t even know at least 40 years… I Always get the same thing quarter pound bulky with cheese and it never disappoints…. The fries are really good. Chocolate banana shake is🔥… I also like the ribeye steak sandwich. It’s not like a big thick ribeye. It’s just like thinly cut kind of but I don’t know it’s bomb too… don’t have expectations of this big ol ribeye steak because that’s not what you’re going to get…but it’s still good and flavorful… get the grilled onions… I haven’t been here for a while, so just make sure you tell them you want fresh french fries.. Good burger. Gotta say. Gooood burger. But the rediculously long wait time is based on the fact they have one grille. And a 18 to 20 year old running it efficiently enough. But not for the products draw. Sorry to say. U need more grille space and 2 cooks to fill the demand at crunch times. And eat the costs to have a guy sit during slow times. Up the game. U have a viable product. No harm intended. I really do love ur burgers thet are really good. Hows ur ice cream doing? Yes 110% markup. But kills the burger and grille time during certain hours. Gibe something up and renovate to draw more money than u ever thought possible. The space lease is not cheap. Complacency can kill a business. I care enough to be straight with you....
