Fire Wings Hayward — Restaurant in Hayward

Located at the shopping center on Jackson & Amador. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve ordered here since they opened a couple of years ago, and it hasn’t improved.

I ordered for take away a 6 piece combo bone in, right? I also substituted fries for all veggies - still paid the same price $13.49 +/- the combo comes with a drink. The payment machine was frozen at a 15% tip (for real) - idk whether this was a one off issue or if there were other issues at the time I was in here today.

Normally, you get a mix of flats and drumsticks, but this was all flats (which I didn’t order specifically). With the cost of a combo, plus tax, plus the tip y’all are looking for… a person feels shorted this way 😞.

Here’s the update on the wings taste. I’m not sure where this franchise orders its wings or if they order from the same distribution warehouse, but the wings I had didn’t taste right. I bit into one and it had a rancid smell, so yikes! I didn’t continue with it, but I did bite i to a 2nd one because you never know. But, nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Same. Ugh. I called and spoke with the kitchen manager who was very apologetic. They voided my transaction. Basically, I ate carrot sticks for lunch, guys 😫. I’m kinda praying I don’t have any adverse effects.

This location is larger than the one I frequent in San Mateo, so a bonus if you’re coming in here with friends. However, this part of town is sketch. I try to avoid it, but a girl has to eat. Turns out though I didn’t get to actually eat much 😥.

The plus about this place is the service is on point. Staff is friendly. When I brought the issue up, the manager didn’t give me a tough time - I really appreciated that part of the service.

Absolutely terrible experience and even worse customer service. I ordered Southern BBQ Fries, and when I received them, they were clearly not what I expected. The fries, in particular, had an unmentioned sauce on them that completely ruined the order for me. When I went back to get it corrected, the employee initially claimed that's how the order is made. I pointed to a picture on their in-store menu, which specifically showed the item without this added sauce, and was told the photo was "old." I then referenced their online menu, which also makes no mention of this additional sauce. I clearly stated I found it unappetizing and would never have ordered it if I knew it came that way. Instead of an apology or an attempt to rectify the situation, the employee became confrontational and threatened to call the police if I didn't "calm down." My frustration was entirely due to their refusal to fix their mistake and their misleading menu. I told them to go ahead and call, questioning what they would even tell the police – that they messed up an order and refused to fix it? They then proceeded to call the police and gave a description of me and my vehicle. This is completely unacceptable. As a customer, I expect accuracy in my order and basic respect, neither of which I received. To threaten a customer over a messed-up order and a misleading menu is beyond unprofessional. I also believe the level of disrespect and the immediate escalation to calling the police felt racially motivated. It's truly disheartening to feel that your treatment as a customer might be based on the color of your skin. I want to warn potential customers that they might be going to a place that isn't friendly to everyone. I would strongly advise against dining at this...

Horrible. The wings were supposed to be fresh just cooked and ready in 15-20 minutes. There was no customers and nothing going on in the kitchen. I ordered a 20 PC 3 flavor with 3 ranches. I gave them my number and ran to Safeway to get milk. 5 minutes later I got a text that my wings were ready. They smelled good. I got home and they were cold, dehydrated and without flavor, just like the employee said they would. IDK what mass market seller they use... Aramark, Sysco... etc... when they sold out to mass production they sold out on their taste. I got Sriracha which has no heat, I had peanut butter sauce that has no peanut butter at all only peanut pieces. The parmesan was terrible and plastic. They sold out their values. Where do you even find chickens this small? If you went to Raleys or Safeway, you'd be hard pressed to find chicken pieces this small. How do you run a business being this...
