Hill's Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Hayward

Went here because cannery was way too crowded, and this place is honestly underrated. This place is really good and pretty cheap, but the service can be slow because there is only one waitress, which I didn't mind at all. It's a very small location near a liqupr store, and is actually clean on the inside even though the outside looks sorta sketch. I had the waffle combo, and honestly the waffles here are really, really, REALLY good. I ate it with the bacon from my meal to make that salty and sweet combo which I kind of like. They have a new waffle maker (waitress told me), so they're coming out super fluffy, but sort of dense at the same time, and slightly crispy. Bf had the hills special, which he said was really good...

So I am always on the prowl for good breakfast joints. This is one of my new spots. I got the corn beef hash two eggs over medium sour dough toast and a cup of coffee. Meal was satisfying and to my surprise it came to just under 20 dollars with a tip. I was extremely pleased and even more happy the place is close to my house where I can pop in and get an inexpensive meal cooked right. Cornbeef was not super oily and the over medium eggs were cooked with no runny whites. Did not even need to ask for hot sauce as she brought it out with out being prompted. I had a very interesting moment this was the first time I stopped in and ate breakfast at this Cafe one of the reasons I was excited is that my last name is Hill so I felt like I own the restaurant as I ate breakfast. Then I thought my friend was there and his last name is Hill and I look at the coffee and I realized oh yeah hills Brothers coffee so I can say my breakfast was full of Hills and encouragement. I told the management about my little Hill experience and they had a nice little chuckle so come on down here and eat breakfast lunch or dinner but make sure you don't get hit by all the people getting on the freeway on 580 or 238 they move pretty fast pass...
