Bayshore Plaza — Local services in Hazlet Township

Really do not like the layout of this shopping plaza. The parking and its set-up are T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E, as the Shop Rite compounds the error by being allowed to store SHOPPING CARTS in FRONT OF THE STORE and in the line of traffic (that they haven't caused a serious injury or death to a customer due to a vehicular accident is a miracle. It seems a litigation by a moderately ambitious ambulance chaser away from a multi million dollar judgement. Access to the McDonalds is also poor, as are access to the Staples and Pet SuperMarket Plus, which forces a pedestrian once parked to take "personal life into God's hands" to cross an endless stream of passenger cars driven by people of 80 IQ (once more, headed to Shop Rite, probably to buy smokes and lottery tickets -- its that kind of place). Oh, and lots of Trump supporters, driving pickup trucks with "USA" and "Confederate" flags bolted on flag poles in the back of the truck bed. Really...

I have very mixed feelings about this place. I go to the Shop Rite in this plaza. The parking lot is a disaster, good luck finding a spot, especially 3:00pm on a Sunday. I try to go at odd hours, or right before closing. The store itself is huge, stocked, lots of selection, all good things. The isles are tiny, you feel packed in, rushed, frustrated. The meat selection is exceptional. The fruit & vegetables are horrendous. I swear they sell rotting veggies. The Stop & Shop in Hazlet has the opposite thing going on, the fruit & veggies are amazing, but you couldn't pay me to eat the meat from there. So, damned if you do, damned if you don't. I might not be the best person for a grocery store review, I hate food...

This shopping center has a wide variety of stores making it a must stop for consumers in their vicinity. The newest ShopRite offers many conveniences including ordering online and have your packages brought out to your car. Inside, there are hot chickens, a food bar with hot foods that change daily, Dunkin Donuts, bakery, olive bar, an up to date deli, pharmacy, and much much more.

While ShopRite is the anchor, many of the other stores have carved a niche in a very busy parking lot. Having a Staples there is a huge plus, along with a pet store, Party City, liquor store, McDonald's, MavisTires, and more.
