I can't believe people would prefer the old dirty east west that use to occupy this space. They have already fixed all the booth seat that had been destroyed for years.. Hunan Garden has authentic, delicious food. Honey walnut shrimp was perfect(although one review said there was TOO MUCH pineapple, like that's a problem..) the portion size was bigger than any other Chinese restaurant I've been too, and the prices are competitive with other places around. The pan fried dumplings are awesome. Made by hand in house, with homemade wonton wrappers. Everything my wife got was really good too. Lettuce cup app came with a ton of chicken and plenty of lettuce pieces, unlike most places that give you two.. Big portions, fair prices and fresh food. If you are a fan of that classic americanized Chinese food, then this should be your spot! Free hot tea and really great service as well. Excited to go back, once I regain...
Read moreAfter the new owner took over east west restaurant, Today is our first time dine in and try their food . My boyfriend usually got a wor su gai and Julie our server has mentioned it kinda different from the old menu so he still give it a try and yes the wor su gai way different, the chicken was thin breaded and has mixed vegetables covered in brown aauce instead of gravy, ( no longer an authentic wor su gai we ever known ) for myself I got general t’so chicken and it comes without broccoli and carrot anymore, the taste iof my food not bad at all, I still like it!! the wonton soup tasted okay and for crab rangoon unfortunately we only tasted totally cream Cheese. I appreciate the free hot tea they served on our table. I know is not easy for new owner to fullfill everybody’s tastes but I believe owner always want to provide a good food and custoner satisfaction so I’ll come back and try...
Read moreHad wonton soup and the broth was bland and the wontons tasted fishy. My husband had hot and sour soup and he said it was not good, as it was bland and had no taste. Neither of our soups compared to former owner’s soups. Sorry! We both had Egg Foo Young and it was tasty. Took fried dumplings home and they were good. Would loved to have had the Crispy Duck, but it was pretty pricey. Service was good, wait staff were friendly and helpful. Food came out promptly. The restaurant was immaculate. Everyone deserves a second chance. Will give it another try in the near future. Has a huge menu, (Maybe too big.) As in the USA, different locations have different types of food, probably the same goes for Chinese cuisine....
