Had two conversations with a young lady who acted like she didn't want to be bothered over the phone. Brought in one thin book to get the spine cut off and coil bound. Easy stuff. (I've been in the printing business for 35 years.) I know it would take 4-5 minutes. I've done thousands of them. The guy in the print area was standing there watching pages pop out of a medium size Xerox machine. It was Sunday around noon and I was the only customer in the store. He said it would be MONDAY EVENING that it would be ready. I asked if I couldn't just wait for it and he motioned behind him at absolutely nothing as if he had lots to do. He could have done it in the time I talked to him. I even offered to do it myself and he said " It doesn't work that way". Perhaps my work ethic is old school but it was too much of a bother to him. I left it there, bought a few little note pads from the same girl who wouldn't even engage in small talk when I checked out and off I went. I came back an hour later and picked it back up and took it to the UPS store who did it while I waited and they were BUSY. As I stated, I've been in this business for decades and I know how to make customers WANT to come back. I never treated people like they were a nuisance, nor should they. Not a fan of this location. Especially the girl at the register... Zero customer...
Read moreVery high priced went in to have a flyer copied and wanted between 300 to 600 copies. I asked for a price and I was told $150 for 300 after a coupon they had. It was $275 for 600 after a different coupon. So I said go ahead with the 600. Well then I was told that to get it today there was a 30% rush job fee other wise I needed to wait till 12 the next day. So I changed my mind went to the Newark library and had 400 copies made in color for only $100. And it took 15 minutes. It's very obvious why Staples is struggling to stay in business. They nickel and dime. Instead of just throwing a paper on a scanner and pressing a button and walking away. They let $275 walk out the door because they wanted a 30% rush job fee. They had a self serve unit not being used they could of walked to it and used that to make the copies. Would of took no more than five minutes of a employees time. But nope we must get that 30% fee. I am glad for the fee though it made me go else where get it done faster...
Read moreWe love the Staples location! Not only do they have such a lie variety of different office supplies from so many types of pens, technology, and physical office supplies like chairs. But they also do such a great job of our print orders. The staff has always exceeded our expectations when it comes to the print jobs we need it done and I’ve been friendly every time. It is so easy to be able to order print job online and just go and pick it up in the store. Thank you for such a great resource in...
