The Gold Bar and Western Bar — Restaurant in Helena

Out of all the years I’ve been going to the golds bar and western I’ve had some truly amazing experiences, I love the bartenders Sara, Gigi, Eric and Tony. They provide the most amazing service and make exceptionally good drinks always ! But the other two bar tenders that work there are the absolute worst, Jennifer has on multiple occasions been verbally rude to my friends and I, to the point where my friends don’t even want to go to the bar Because she always has a attitude when it comes to making drinks or just plain Snarky or making rude comments. She on multiple occasions has asked if my card is going to be declined, mind you i lock my card for security reason because she has taken it upon herself to put other peoples drinks under my Bar tab on multiple occasions, with out my consent. She has truly just provided the worst bartending service I have ever received.

One to the next bartender Nate, this bartender has never been anything but down right rude to, whether it be putting me down at the bar or insulting me, or getting in my face to air his grievances about me telling another bartender that I do not like having him or his sister as my servers. He has also physically put his hands on me and has allowed his friends to verbally harass me and get away for it. A couple of months back he and his buddies were drinking at the bar and one of them began picking on me to the point where racial slurs we’re used against my self inside of the bar and outside the establishment.

When I got upset about being called some really nasty names Such as the N word and a few others. Nate the bartender Kicked me out and called the police and tried to have me 86d. With that situation Camera footage was reviewed and I was found to not be at fault in that situation and his friends were promptly removed from the bar and never allowed back in.

If anyone wants to enjoy their time drinking and want a genuine good time Wait for these two bartenders to get off shift or avoid them entirely, they do not provide caring customer service and they do not seem to care about their jobs, they are rude and nasty and I would not recommend them as bar tenders to anyways. I’m actually very disappointed in this bar, My friends are all over 21 and I am 18. We have come to this bar multiple times and I have never been given an issue because I am 18. My friends and I went in to play pool tonight and there was a bar tender we had never seen before. My friends went up and ordered drinks and the lady would not serve them untill she saw my id which is very weird as they only ordered two drinks and I was still at the pool table, when I went up to the bar tender to show her my id she told me I was not allowed in there past 10 pm and I explained that it was weird because we have come here multiple times and I had never been asked for my ID just for being in there and the one time the bar tender did ask( I was sitting at the bar with my friends and not at the pool table ) he told me I was allowed in there just obviously can’t drink. The lady then became very rude saying they don’t allow anyone under 21 after 10pm but yet this”rule” is not posted anywhere, it’s not on there website or inside the bar either and it is weird that she waited 10 minutes after she saw us come in to ask for my ID. most bars that don’t allow 18 year olds it’s after Midnight not 10 pm and they at least have the decency to post it and not be extremely rude when you explain you didn’t know because another bar tender told you a different thing. Please get your bar tenders on the same page about age restrictions and teach them customer service because neither my friends or I...

Tell me if I’m crazy. I ordered a salad and a cheese burger plan with only cheese. I paid and they gave me a number. They gave me my order and when I checked it. I found the burger had everything on it. I took it back up to the counter and nicely told them it was wrong. No big deal right? The lady asked for a receipt as I’m holding the burger she just gave me.. then she starts telling me that her ppl don’t make mistakes like this and I must’ve made a mistake. So after 5 mins or so of her telling me how I’m supposed to have the person taking my order repeat the order back to me. The place was packed and I have this lady talking down to me because they got the order wrong… then she tells me they are going to fix it and made it a big deal to have me say exactly what I wanted over and over again. 15 mins later she come by and tells me I’m 6th in line.. the best part is when I finally did it… they put the orange sauce on it anyways. After all that belittling and telling me how they know what there doing and they make no mistakes.
