El Ranchito Taco Shop — Restaurant in Hemet

On August 29, 2021 I had the misfortune of coming to this place for lunch. Horrible food and horrible service. The two girls at the cash register are clueless and completely oblivious to their job. They wsited till we place our ordered just to tell us they only take cash but they do have an ATM that charges $5 per transaction. My wife ordered a shrimp ceviche that was nothing but a few shrimp covered in ketchup. My son ordered an asada burrito that took them like 20 minutes after they gave us the first part of our order just to have it wrong. They gave him an egg and sausage burrito filled with a nasty pink sauce. I ordered a shrimp cocktail that was the same precooked, frozen then thawed out and soaked in ketchup, just totally disgusting. When I told the cashier that my sons order was wrong she acted like i wasn't speaking her language and even seemed upset that i wanted what i asked for. I ended up cancelling the burrito because I couldn't trust them anymore. Their salsas seem like they are out of a jar. Pace picante sauce would be an upgrade from these salsas. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this horrible place. Taco Bell would be a more authentic choice than this thing so...

The other evening I went in just before 9:30pm. I thought they closed at 10pm. When I realized they were about to close I said "are you still taking orders?" They said "yes, for takeout". I ordered two burritos at $17. I asked when I ordered what was in the mixed burrito. She informed me. Onions and peppers were not supposed to be in that burrito. I got home, cut it in half and it was full of onions and peppers and very, very little of anything else. It was mushy as well. I did not eat any of it. My daughter tried it and said it tasted awful. The other burrito was the same. I couldnt go back as they were closed. I feel they didn't have enough left to make this food so they shouldn't have allowed me to order. I gave them that option and would not have been upset had they said they were closing. Apparently they are money hungry and on top of that the staff at the front counter are rude. I will never go back there and will tell my friends my experience there as well. There are other places in Hemet to have mexican...

Be careful when you order a bacon breakfast burrito. A friend of mine ordered one and got three very small pieces of bacon that when put together would be about the size of one half of a normal bacon strip. I purchased one as well and mone had one small piece (maybe about the length of a quarter strip) in the first half of the burrito. I decided to unroll the burrito and check the second half. There was no more bacon in it. We suggest you check your bacon burritos before you leave with your food. They used to be good about the amount of bacon in their burritos. They have since raised the price and taken out almost all the bacon. We will be looking for bacon burritos...
