There were 3 ladies in my party and when we walked in there were several male employees standing around while 2 female employees were behind the reception desk handling some decorative pieces that they were intending to decorate around the restaurant. When they did not acknowledge us, even though I was using a walker and unable to stand for any length of time, I started to proceed into the restaurant. All of a sudden one of the ladies grabbed 3 menus with napkins wrapped around the utensils told us to follow her and proceeded down the aisle. I told her we would like to sit by a window but she replied, "you can't sit there* and proceeded to a half booth type of table at the very back of the restaurant laid down the objects in her hands and took off. We sat at a regular booth in the allotted area, which was 1/2 of the first area on the left side of the restaurant. While sitting and waiting two other tables of customers came in and sat down.. A waitress came and took our drink order and I told her we were ready to order but she walked away and said she would be right back. She apparently took the orders of the others because after she took our orders she served the other two tables before us and in fact we had to ask her when we would get our food. We waited a total of 50 minutes. When I asked what took so long she told us it was because they "had a large party in the back". My daughter and I split a biscuits and gravy with eggs, potatoes, sausage with a side order of bacon. I don't know what it was they called a biscuit but it was dry and so hard I had to cut it with a knife. We received a half filled small container of runny, tasteless gravy. The bacon was mostly raw so I just rolled it up in a couple of napkins and took it home for my dog. The other lady in our party ordered an omelet with toast. Her 4 halves of toast had a small amount of butter in the middle of each piece and only one small plastic container of jelly. Our waitress left and never came back to inquire if everything was OK. It was probably the worst meal I can remember eating. I was also disappointed because they no longer serve Swedish pancakes, a favorite of mine. Now they only offer crepes. The service was bad, the food was not any good and we felt uncomfortable. I would not recommend anything we had to eat. We will NEVER go there...
Read moreIf it was just one or two things I had an issue with I wouldn't be writing this. But to start when we were sat down we waited nearly 10 minutes before someone stopped by to even take our drink order. Only then was it because we were obviously looking around for some sort of server. While looking around I noticed that a couple who sat down after us already had their drinks. And I watched the server who said she would be right with us when we first sat down walk over to take their order. We still haven't ordered our drinks.
She finally came over and took our coffee and food order. The coffee was just water, when I pointed it out to the guy who dropped it off, he said he just filled it with coffee. It tasted like hot water with creamer, almost like he filled the kettle that already had water in it with coffee. Asked again for new coffee. He didn't even dump the old coffee from our cups, so we could drink the new coffee. All this before we even got our food.
Ordered a veggie omelette, had to be the saddest omelette I have ever seen. Hardly 1/3 the size of a normal omelette. The veggies weren't even cooked and were obviously very ripe. The eggs smelled rotten, the spinach was wilted and old. When we asked where our pancakes and hash browns were the server said we didn't order them. She argued with us about our order before we suggested adding it on to our ticket. The hash browns were over cooked and cold when we got them. Once all the food was dropped off she never came back to check on us. We had to wave her down to get sauce to make the food palatable. And again had to stand up and look for her to get our check to cash out. Honestly I've very vocal about how I feel about service and product. Especially when our check comes out for 40$ for one omelette combo and two water coffees. But my company wasn't, we just won't go again. The final kicker was when I tried to speak to the manager on duty just to cash out and she looked at me and disappeared to the back and we never saw her again for the rest of our visit. If I could give this visit a negative review I would. Sad that is is the only...
Read moreGood food but I don't appreciate waiting for an hour when the restaurant isn't even busy. I've been to the Hemet location three times in one month. and once they were busy so I understood it would take a while to be seated not a problem I understood it would take a little bit for the food after ordering. So 1 hour and 15 minutes later after ordering we received our food. I told my wife there may be a new cook or possibly because it's busy. So we went back the second time approximately a week later. it was not that busy it only took about 10 to 15 minutes to be seated. We ordered within 15 minutes. The waitress did come to the table and brought us drinks within 5 minutes after that 10 minutes went by before she came back and took our order once we placed our order it took 55 minutes for my food to get to the table my wife's food took a additional 15 minutes? The third time we went back approximately 3 days later it was late in the evening so we thought no one's here they should be fast. But we were wrong. We were seated Within two or three minutes we ordered approximately 5 minutes later and the food got to us within 55 minutes sad. All we ordered was pancakes and eggs. I just don't understand why it takes so long to cook our food. There was a cook talking to a waitress for a good 15 minutes this is after our order was placed then he went into the kitchen came back out and talk to the waitress for another 5 minutes. We thought he was just on break and there was another cook in the back but no we were wrong he was the cook the only cook working at that time. After he was done talking he went back into the kitchen sound like he was moving dishes around? But anyway 55 minutes later we got our pancakes and eggs. Have not been back there since. Might try it again someday...
