Yesterday, 7/26/23 Wednesday, we ordered 2 double del burgers with 2 sides of bacon along with a few other items. When we got home to eat, we realized we had been charged for the 2 sides of bacon, but they were not in the bag. The burgers were good, although not well done nor hot. We ate the food and then called Del Taco many times but each time the phone just rang, I had to leave for work and called them again after work, a young woman answered, she was polite but sounded rushed, I explained about the 2 sides of bacon and she said, the next time you come, you can get the meal replaced. Today, 7/27/23 Thursday, we ordered the same through the drive-through and explained what happened yesterday. The car ahead of us stalled and wouldn't start. My friend asked all the other customers in the drive-through if they could get out and help push the vehicle (owner, an elder man) out of the drive so we could all get our orders, he went inside and asked if anyone could come out and help. The lady at the counter said yeah no problem, but no one came out, and only 1 person in the drive-through got out to help, a woman. All the others (3 cars behind us) sat in their cars watching, while my friend and the old man pushed and the lady steered! How disappointing! Speaks volumes as to what kind of ppl are in the world today!! Thank you to that kind lady!! When we finally got to the window, they said the manager wouldn't let any employees help due to liabilities! They gave us only one burger at first and mushy fries, then when we told them there were 2 burgers we got another one but they served it with an attitude! Del Taco manager, YOU SUCK! If we and the lady hadn't helped that old man, your drive-through would have come to a complete stop for at least an hr or more! No "thank you" from them or any of the other drive-through customers!!!! I really hope, if any of you ever find yourself in need like this stressed out old man, (he had groceries in the back too), I hope no one helps but just sits there and watches you struggle alone! Read moreDrove through for a super late dinner with my wife. She got a cheesy bean and rice from the value menu and the cheese quesadilla. I ordered for myself a taco salad. We got home ate the food went and started to lay in bed watch tv to fall asleep. My wife started telling me her stomach was hurting. I thought nothing of it just thought maybe her stomach wasn’t happy we ate so late. A hour later she ran to the restroom and started throwing up profusely it really scared me I have never seen her this sick before. I contacted the Del taco right away and told them my wife was sick and it had to be from the food. I told him we ordered the food through the drive thru and had taken it home it had been a hour later after she ate and she got extremely sick. The man tried telling me there was no way because the beans are made fresh everyday. I had explained to him we hadn’t eaten anything really and that was the only large meal we had today. I told him I don’t care if they are made fresh everyday something is wrong with the food you had served my wife and I needed something to be done to fix it. No one should be getting sick! She is still in the background while I am on the phone throwing up. He had taken my name and number down and asked what they can do to fix it. I said I want corporate to come and take a look at this restaurant and make sure it never happens to somebody else again I want corporate or somebody to call me about this situation. I don’t want any free food from a place that gives food poisoning. that won’t fix the situation where my wife is throwing up uncontrollably. He told me nobody would get back to me tell Monday that’s fine as long as I get the call I said. I hang up start to go check in on my wife then I receive a phone call from the same guy at the Del taco saying no one is in their restroom throwing up he obviously did not listen to a word I had said something needs to be done about this. Read moreI can honestly say that I was truly impressed with not only the speed of service, the engagement of the cashier, as well as my overall experience in my very few minutes at this restaurant, which was nothing short of Amazing.
The value I received was great and the food $$5.00 Classic Comho Box was warm and delicious to eat.
It has been quite a few months since I have eaten at a Del Taco and I truly can remember that my last experience at the one on University Ave. In Riverside wasn't very mindful. It appeared at this location that the operation was well staffed, and it was especially remarkable that the manager was assisting on the food preparation line to get the meals out to the customers faster.
The amount of teamwork that was exhibited at this location was nothing short of admirable. You could almost sense the dedication and hard work that everyone exercised from those employees that appeared within my sight and that each of them executed their positions well. This indicates to me that they were dedicated, well respected, trained well, and performed their duties in a very mindful manner. You could very much sense the well balanced cohesion of this operation
