Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Hempstead

I am very disappointed that I COULD NOT get a Small Vanilla Ice Cream in a cup without paying for the price of a Ice Cream Sundae which was over $3.00. This was all because of the plastic cup that a Ice Sundae comes in..not because all I wanted was a Small Vanilla Ice Cream without the cone because I do not care for the cone. I asked the Server why can I not get a small Ice Cream in a paper cup that is what they use to be put in. I finally could not see paying $3 for a small Ice Cream in a Sundae cup so I settled for an Ice Cream Cone for $2.40. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT BECAUSE $3+ FOR A SMALL ICE CREAM IN A CUP IS ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS! I like eating at Dairy Queen I love eat at these places but this particular one I am just plain unhappy with. I ordered the chicken strip meal and after I paid. They brought my food to my table. I asked for some ranch dressing. The lady kindly told me that they charge for that. Now I was not asking for extra I just wanted one to go with my meal. Out of every single Dairy Queen that I have eaten at, I have never ever been charged for that. The food itself was fine and the service was good too. I’m a regular here and have been for 2 years now. i really do enjoy dairy queen food and ice cream, shout out to the Carolina reaper tacos !! I wish they were year round. However at the specific location the customer service is very unpleasant. The staff is not friendly at all and in fact they can be pretty rude. The drive thru closes before the store closing time. And for some reason the whole peanuts here are EXTREMELY salty.
