A nice, cozy diner with a classic feel. Breakfast served until 2:30PM!
The Restaurant 4/5
The diner has booths, tables and bar stools, so you can sit wherever you prefer. It's clean, lightly decorated and includes a small TV if you don't like being away from a screen too long. The entire staff's Food Handling Certificates and other important documentation are all posted behind the counter.
Calling in an order was simple. They got the order perfect and it was ready within 10 minutes. I've also walked in and waited for an order. It also only took about 10 minutes.
Breakfast 5/5
I tried the Biscuits & Gravy that comes with 2 Eggs and Hashbrowns. My wife tried the Breakfast Taco Platter that includes 3 Tacos with Ham, Egg, & Cheese. (There are many other ingredient choices for your tacos!)
The B&G were pre-made biscuits, but I have no complaints. The meal included 2 biscuits split and covered with Sausage Gravy. The white gravy was not too runny or too thick and had a good sausage flavor. If you prefer a lot of sausage in your gravy, I suggest ordering an extra side of sausage.
The 2 eggs included in my meal were ordered Over Medium and came exactly as requested. Just enough yolk and not too runny. Eggs are not my favorite thing to eat alone, but I consumed these.
The Hashbrowns are thick cut and had a good flavor before adding any topping. I believe they are fresh cut potatoes and then fried. If you prefer yours very crispy like me, I would request that.
The Breakfast Tacos were some of the most appealing I've seen in this area. My wife intended to eat one and finished the meal.
Lunch 4/5
I had a burger craving and ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger without veggies. I don't prefer veggies on a burger, so I can't vouch for the produce, but everything else was spot on.
The burger itself is about 5.5" wide. The patty is about 0.5" thick. It's plenty large enough for just about any appetite, especially including the pile of fries that are included.
The Bacon I added to my burger was thick cut and they included enough to fully cover the large burger. The cheese was fully melted. The burger itself has a good skillet burger flavor. No smoke or char-grilled flavor, but that's just a preference of mine. The sesame seed bun was soft and fresh as well.
The fresh-cut potato fries have are very soft inside and have a good flavor on their own. There is no old/bad grease flavor at all. As with most fresh-cut fries, they tend to be soft. If you prefer crispy fries, I would request that. A dash of seasoning would make these fries even better.
Value 5/5
I would consider the amount of food and the quality you get to be worth every penny.
I will continue to update this review with pictures and reviews of more menu items as I...
Read moreHappened to be in the area doing some spring shopping for the yard and gathered up a little appetite. Did a quick Google search and this place popped up… cool. The place seems to be in the middle of town but I really don’t know b/c I’m not from around here but basically, pulled up and parked directly in front of the restaurant. Reminded me of an environment I’m familiar with from my childhood back in some of the small towns my grandparents were from. Anyway, let’s get right to it. I came here for breakfast and there’s only so many things that can be done to a traditional breakfast so I didn’t expect much. But geez was I wrong. This place truly is a breakfast paradise. Maybe b/c I’ve gotten so used to the big city style breakfast I forgot what a good, wholesome, home style breakfast taste like. I’m on a specific diet right now and since everything is cooked fresh and made to order, I got exactly what I asked for. And it’s something about the way it was cooked and prepared… I can’t put a finger on it but you can tell, they took pride in their product. And the service was great too! The young lady that took my order was friendly, funny, and polite. I’ll be passing through this area more often and I’m this will be, without a doubt, a regular stop for me and I’m looking...
Read moreWe stopped here on our way through town and weren’t impressed. We were greeted by a staff member from behind the counter when we walked in and we found a table for ourselves. We sat for roughly 5 minutes before someone came to our table. The waitress gave us our menus and walked off. Several more minutes went by before someone else returned to get our drink order. It was not busy and should not have taken so long. We got our drinks and placed our order. The wait time for the food was decent and the food was good and cooked right. However, the plate my husbands pancakes came on was dirty. It appeared to be a dirty dish that they had dumped the leftover food off of and put the pancakes on it. The waitress took it back and brought out a clean plate with fresh pancakes. Their was also some kind of bug in my water, but at this point I didn't even mention it to the staff and just shared my husbands water. They did come by several times asking if we needed coffee refills. When it was time for our check, they never brought it to us so my husband just walked to the register to pay. If we are ever around this area again we won’t be revisiting...
