My friends and I went into this restaurant and had to seat ourselves, it smelled heavily like cigarettes and the first thing you see when you enter is a sign telling customers to âpull their pants up or donât come in!!! Try to have some decency& respect for others, no one wants to see your underwearâ that is 100% racially motivated. We were not provided silverware or menus until we had been seated for over 10 minutes. Our waitress never came to check on us after serving us and we had to go get our own to go boxes. My friends food was dry and unseasoned and looked as though it had been sitting out for hours. When they raised complaints and asked to have the food sent back, they were met with disrespect and refusal to take the order back and to take it off our tab. The waitress and manager/owner were sitting down eating the entire time we were there and never came to our table unless we called them multiple times despite the restaurant being almost completely empty. We were not given service at all and there was a worker standing in front of our table almost the entire time, but the elderly white couple at the table next to us were checked on consistently. This restaurant was poorly maintained, the food was not good, and they did not treat their customers with respect, DO NOT EAT HERE, ESPECIALLY IF...
Read more1 star because I canât give none. Worst Mexican food ever hands down. My wife and I are older, are Mexican, and grew up eating Mexican food nearly daily at all kinds of places. We are also not picky eaters and rarely have ever given a review, but this places food was so bad that I had to as a favor to the general public. Saturday lunch during college visit to PAMU. The chips were complimentary and good, the red ranchero sauce was ok-average, the green creamy salsa looks great but lacks flavor. 18 yo son had 3 beef fajita tacos with beans and cheese. Wife had crispy beef taco plate. I played it safe with beef fajita plate. son managed to eat 1.5 tacos now sick. My wife and I beans were not hot, flavorless, and basically disgusting which set the tone- if you canât get refried beans correct- enough said. I made wife try to finish second crispy taco out of principle because of price. I ate the beef only leaving everything else after adding the whole bowl of ranchero sauce for flavor and salt pepper. Pico looked at least a day old- the Guac I couldnât stomach after everything else. Grilled onions - how can you screw this up- but yes they must of been old and reheated because they had some odd taste. Service was not bad. Worst Mexican food all time...
Read moreI would NOT recommend eating here. Smoking is allowed indoors in a section only a few feet away from the supposedly ânon smokingâ area. Food is expensive for child like portions. My childâs quesadilla from the âkids menuâ was the same size as the adult one I got for $16+. From the moment we walked in, we shouldâve walked out. Currently they are at 3.9 stars and I think that is generous from the experience we had. I tried communicating to the manager and she blamed us for not sitting in a non-smoking area when we wanted to watch a game playing on a tv that we didnât know was a smoking area. Honestly, I blame the hostess for not notifying us that the section we chose was a smoking area. The hostess was on her phone who seemed disconnected from her position and her duties to let us know that the area we chose was smoking. Weâve had a better experience across the street at Erickâs the last time we were in the area. Better service, better food, better management. The only thing that was given was a military discount for my husbands military status as a disabled veteran. Que verguenza - What a shame for a restaurant that has roots in such a profoundly well known...
