Let me start off by saying this review isn't about the food, the food was good, the sides was the best part. This occured Saturday March 15th. We arrived my wife and myself the hostess told us there's about a twenty minutes wait, the restraunt was packed so we knew it would be worth the wait. Several minutes after waiting another couple arrived and sat down to wait then a few minutes later another couple came in and done the same thing. After several minutes a couple got up and left so we knew our wait was soon to be over, that was my mistake for thinking. The couple above mentioned that came in last to the three couples (us included in this count) got up and went and sat at the newly vacant table. I don't know if the young ladies hosting knew this or what, so I asked the hostess didn't they come in after us? I could of been mistaken wouldn't of been the first she said they did indeed, and they would get us a table soon and that she would personally clean it. She then went and said something to the waitress that ended up waiting on us, I do not know the conversation I'm not a lip reader. (I would like to say the waitress did an excellent job especially for the business they had) We waited several more minutes then was seated. My issue is they could of got a manager to assist if those people just jumped up and went to the table jumping line, or maybe they knew the couple and was doing a favor I don't know the reason or maybe we looked poverished, I was wearing Nike casual britches while sporting a Macho Man shirt (the wrestler not song my barn door doesn't swing that way) and my wife was dressed normal. My point being our money was the same color as the people they let jump in front of us, I made sure to tip extra better since I must of looked like I couldn't afford to eat at this establishment, again I don't know. The food was good it's not Monroe County Kentucky good but it was good. We live in Evansville now and I grew up on Kentucky BBQ being from Metcalfe County Kentucky (home to the Kentucky Headhunters & Blackstone Cherry) and I was having a hankering for my home state BBQ but with the way I felt we was treated by being pushed to aside in first come first serve we'll never come back to this establishment again, sadly to say that because again the food was good. In closing though obviously we must of looked like we couldn't afford to eat here the lady I had with me whom is my wife is a Physician, don't judge a book...

We were there mid-afternoon and ordered at the counter. We were served promptly. The drinks are self-service. For dinner hours, however, table service is offered.
My husband and I stopped by for a late lunch. I love barbecue and I'm a self-described BBQ snob! I had a tough time deciding what to order, but settled on the crazy chicken sandwich! I chose a side of baked beans. Great choice. I've already decided I'm going to have the brisket French dip on our next visit (sounds amazing, doesn't it?)
The crazy chicken was pulled chicken, street corn salad, Bama white sauce on a Kaiser bun. Loved everything about it! I did opt for no Bama White sauce, but I did try it. It was very good. There were five sauces (on the table) to try. The baked beans were delicious! So, so good.
My husband ordered the smoked, chicken wings. He really enjoyed them. They were tasty, not dry, and he liked the sweet and tangy sauce he chose. He had a side of seasoned fries. We shared them, they were delicious.
They offer a special menu of monthly special dishes and drinks. And, there is a very nice patio adjacent to the restaurant. Live music is offered several nights each week!
Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The menu was varied and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely...
Read moreI’m here to edit my first review (after giving this place 2 more tries over the past year)! Since first opening, Homer’s has made great improvements to its menu! Anytime we are in Henderson, we will be stopping by for some great food in a great atmosphere.
(( Despite hearing bad reviews word of mouth, we finally decided to give Homers a try. We ordered the Briskitos as an appetizer, brisket grilled cheese and house chips, a house salad and the kids meal tenders for the little one. Overall, we were disappointed. Briskitos were ruined by a huge lump of what can only be described as cold cheese sauce, and my husband couldn’t taste the brisket with the flavor of American cheese overpowering his sandwich. The best tasting thing we had was a chicken tender. My small house salad was $9 - for a local comparison Rookies house salad is $3. With a coke to drink and tip- we spent almost $50 on lunch. For this and not really enjoying the food, we were highly disappointed. For a restaurant like this, the prices are way too high. I don’t think we...
