Update: still the worse location ever to come to. I ordered coffee. Just coffee and even that they had me pull forward for?? 6 mins later, after the entire drive thru is completed, I’m still waiting, so i ended up leaving bc i was about to be late to work. Over coffee.
So today I came to this location. When I tell you, I prayed before pulling in because this location seems to love to mess with its customers, and I have like no choices in the morning heading to work. Before I order, the gentleman tells me there's no hot coffee. It was not even 8am? Anyway, I ordered my food, and today I decide to get a little crazy and add pancakes. When I finally get to the window, the lady distracts me by asking me if I have a straw in the bag. Now, I know that after this much time coming to a location that is known for making mistakes, I should've checked my bag, but like I said she distracted me with the question, and it threw me off. Not to mention, I don't always add pancakes, so it was more of an anomaly for me. I drive to work and open my bag, and see that a hashbrown is missing, and that reminded me "oh wait, didn't I order pancakes, too?" And I see I did not receive it. Now, this location pretty much knows I will call them out when they make a mistake, I would to anywhere I made a choice to go and spend my hard earned money at. So I called them and asked for the manager immediately. She gets on the phone and I proceed to tell her what happened, she said "wait, you are a regular here?" and I said yes I come because there aren't many options in the mornings, and it isn't right that so many mistakes happen so often. It was not even busy for them to be stressed. And she starts telling me how I should have known I did not receive the pancakes because the bag it comes in. I told her I do not work at McDonald's, so why should I know this, second why are you saying this to me when you can see I am frustrated, and third, just give me your name because this is not going to get anywhere. She starts gaslighting me, literally seeing I am frustrated, starts saying no I am not giving you my name, I just walked in and I don't know what happened. So I said ok, give me that other manager that was working to talk about this too. She refused and said no its the same thing, we cant help you. I told her I will call corporate and she just laughed. I am honestly so tired of this new standard for customer service. And when anyone says anything, we are made out to be the bad guys. They can tell us to go eff ourselves and we are the ones to get kicked out. They literally antagonize you into a frustrating situation, and then when they see that you are on edge, they hit you with some crazy load of disrespect to send you over the edge and they can say, well you are getting upset so I choose not to help you. And then when I called the headquarters, they were no help saying the "franchise owner" will call me back. No they won't, they never do. Anyone investing in a McDonald's knows one thing, they are guaranteed profit, customers and...
Read moreI was very disappointed in my experience here. My husband and I have been travelling. We came from Michigan, quite a long drive. We had stopped at this Mcdonald's one morning just to sit there and relax for a moment. We planned to grab lunch there and then keep it moving. But at 10:30 am we weren't ready for our lunch yet. Several times a female employee walked back and forth past our car, giving us dirty looks. We assumed we were being paranoid, that there was no way she was walking in what it looked like an aimless, unproductive way through the parking lot because of us. Not when there was a line in the drive-thru, right?
Unfortunately that is exactly what was happening, because after the third random tour of the parking lot she approached us and told us we had five minutes to leave or she would call a tow truck. We explained to her that we were just relaxing for a couple of hours after a horrendously long drive. We told her we were from Michigan. She replied that she could see our license plate and was well aware of where we were from, but nonetheless we had five minutes.
Wow! I do understand that in general a Mcdonald's does not want people making the parking lot a hangout. However, I would think that Mcdonald's would be a little more caring towards travelers. Most Mcdonald's are, this is actually only the 2nd location in 15 states that has been so un-empathetic. This was the rudest experience of the two, the threat to tow us was entirely unnecessary. We weren't going to refuse to leave, she certainly could have asked us nicer. She honestly should have been WAY more concerned with the long drive thru line.
We left, went to a Wendy's, got our meal to go, and ate it in the parking lot. We sat in the Wendy's lot for two hours before we felt rested enough to keep moving, and no one ever bothered us. Probably because they could see we were from Michigan and that we were travelling.
My advice to Mcdonald's as a whole and this location in particular? Focus on things like a backed up drive thru line, and have some care and compassion for travelers like...
Read moreWhere to start, I pulled into the right drive thru lane. I was greeted by an employee named “Sidel” with a heavy Hispanic accent “What do you want?” I reply with “once second I need to look at the menu” they respond with another “What do you want?!” And once again I reply with “one second” then they finally hear me. I’m trying to figure out what I want because they removed the sandwich I wished to get but I couldn’t see the menu because the cashier flooded the screen with some other Uber order three times. I finally figured out what I wanted after 5 mins of waiting for the Uber orders to get off the screen. I order, pull up to the first window. I’m greeted by a very lazy cashier, he asks if I had the Uber order, no I did not. He paused then all he said was the price of my order $15.03, he didn’t ask what I had order or even tried to repeat my order, I would of had no idea if it was even my order. I accepted this and just pull up to the next widow after paying. I’m greeted by the manager and asked did you have the Uber order? No I did not. Takes her a minute to figure out that I did not in fact have the Uber order. Finally get my sweet tea and sprite. 5 mins later the manager comes back and asks me to pull up to spot number 2 to wait for my buttermilk chicken. We pull up wait for our food, 10-15 mins pass no one comes out. At this point my fiancé and I are annoyed. My fiancé goes inside to check on our food. They completely deleted our order and didn’t even try taking our food out! It took them just another 5 mins to remake our food and finally get it. We finally get to sit down and eat our food, my sweet tea tasted like a mix of dirt and dish water, how do you even mess up tea? The buttermilk was drier the jerky and the quarter pounder was horribly put together had to reconstruct it myself to properly eat it. This has by far been the worst experience I’ve ever had...
