Disappointing and kinda ridiculous.
Went inside and there was only one other table there, five people, and you could tell they were comfortably in place for a bit, since they had drinks going already. Put in our order for two people, got our drinks and miso soups fairly quickly. Server came back after a few minutes and said they didn’t have stuff for bento boxes C and E (of course I ordered E), so I ordered two California rolls instead. Simple enough. Then we sat and waited. And waited. And waited. It was 4:10pm.
Dishes were brought out to the other table very slowly and one at a time. Mainly bento boxes it appeared.
At 4:55pm, we decided that was more than enough time to wait in a nearly empty restaurant for our order. Requested the bill for two miso soups and one green tea, paid it, and left.
Won’t be back here and if you value your time, I’d hesitate going there despite the seemingly decent reviews they’ve had.
Drove down to Ohjah and we’re served our food before I even finished typing this out. You want great food and fast service, go...
Read moreGood priced lunch and dinner specials. Not all you can eat style, good quality. I drive past this place many times and never had to stop in until yesterday. I got the chicken katsu bento which included fried katsu chicken, 2 chicken potstickers, a choice of between about 6 different sushi rolls, miso soup, a small green salad, shrimp/vegetable tempura, and a bowl of rice. The whole thing came to about $14 after taxes I believe. I've been to a few places that try to do a similar bento special but they normally are not too good. This place was an exception, the katsu was crunchy and you could tell the chicken was not frozen. The two pieces of shrimp tempura were not rubbery like many places, and the batter was very light and crispy. Salad was small, but had a good flavor. Vegetable tempura was cooked properly and was not mushy. Overall, I was surprised on the quality, but only wish I had room to try more of their sushi. Will...
Read moreOrdered California rolls for the kids, received spicy California rolls. Maybe your chef would not admit his mistake but you handled it wrong. You argued with us about what we received, its not too difficult to differentiate spicy California Rolls from Regular California rolls, they are spicy and orange and the bright red dot of Sriracha on top of each roll made it pretty clear of what it was.
All you had to do was say we are sorry about the mistake but instead. They argued about it and this is why I am here. Now the kids didn’t have what they asked for for dinner, and you lost a customer, got a bad review, and we’re probably in a bad mood after my phone call. Even if you gave us a complimentary order I am sure you would not have lost money, or a customer, and a bad review. Glad it was paid for with a credit card. Because now you lost all of what we paid.
