We love eating at Claim Jumper, so for Thanksgiving we decided to make reservations to have thanksgiving lunch/dinner there, so 2 1/2 weeks before Thanksgiving for 6 adults & one child. My reservation was for 1 p.m .on Thanksgiving day. I confirmed the reservation on Tuesday & I thought very thing as in place for our Thanksgiving early dinner. We’ll, I was totally WRONG. we all got there before 1 pm & they had the audacity to sit 6 adults in a booth. I complained & told them we needed more room. There was a totally empty table right next to the booth & I asked if we could move to that chair & we ere told no because it was for 10 people & we didn’t meet that count. So I asked to talk to the manager. A manager, that never gave me his name his name came over & tried to tell me that they didn’t have any other tables so I told him I was not happy & I had made the reservation 2 1/2 weeks earlier & a booth was not acceptable for 6 adults & one child. So he said he was going to go look for another table. The manager came & told us he was moving us to a back table but we had to done by 2:30 because that table was slated for someone else. I was so upset, that I just agreed & as we walked to the back there were several table's empty. By the time the waitress came to take our drink order & get us menus, it was approximately 1:20/1:30. Needless to say I was very upset. We ordered our drinks & food & needless to say the food was HORRIBLE. Our order consisted of prime rib, turkey, & another choice, I don’t remember. The prime robe was raw, chewy & NOT GOOD & cold. They came asked what kind of pie we wanted & the waitress came & practically threw it at us & then approx. 2-5 minutes later a lady manager came & told us we only 10 minutes more to stay at the table. We paid the large check & left, quite upset & annoyed & as we were walking out, we notice that the the table by the booth was still empty plus other empty ones. That really upset me & my husband & we vow not to return to Claim Jumper ever again unless someone apologizes to us & give us a coupon for a better meal. As I said earlier my husband & some of my family were totally surprised with he treatment & the food. We’ve always taken our friends there for a nice dinner & we even had our wedding reception there but never again. So please be aware.
12/5. Received a response to my review & experience at the Henderson, NV Claim Jumper restaurant & was asked to send an e-mail with what I had written in my review & I sent the response to the email I was provided & lo & behold the email is not accepting my response. Google mail has tried for 20 hrs to send it with no luck…..so this tells me that you either don’t really want what you requested or that you truly don’t care about your customers because if a supposedly management email is not working or is a bum email address & you don’t really want to to get a response to YOUR request. Really sad, no pride in business or customers.
Whoever sent me the below answer to my review must nor really want a response because the email address is a non-working email address. Google has tried 20 hrs to send but no response to the email address. It’s obvious that you might not want to really hear from me because why would you give me a non-working...

I was there with a larger group, and I should have listened to one of the veteran restaurant goers there. He advised against getting the fish, but I didn't listen to him! It was kind of tough. Also, it didn't have very much flavor, and I had to put a bit of salt on it to liven it a bit.
Furthermore, to my horror, it only sat in the refrigerator, maybe 2 days? After the second day, I was trying to figure out what the sour odor was coming out of the fridge! I finally picked up that leftover fish and was smacked in the face because the odor was so bad. Can you believe that that fish went bad after only sitting in the fridge for 2 days?! It suggests to me that it must have already been old to begin with. That was quite disappointing because I was about to enjoy it for dinner that evening.
Also, I ordered the fried broccoli. When it was brought to me, it was covered in cheese! I did not ask for the cheese. Nor did the menu specify that it was covered in cheese either in description or picture. I had to send it back because I'm lactose intolerant. When it was brought to me the second time, I tried some of it and was disappointed yet again. I thought it was going to be breaded and fried, but they just dumped it in a bunch of grease and called that "fried broccoli." That was yet another disappointing dish.
As far as the dessert, I ordered a caramel and pecan warm cake dish, with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream! This was a winner. Lol it was so sweet and dense that I saved it for another day. But when I reheated it later, it was delicious. Also, I did not mind the whiskey chicken wings I ordered as an appetizer. They were pretty decent, too.
I think in the future, if and when I return to this place, I won't order that bass again. I will try a burger in the future. Most restaurants tend to do well with burgers. Or, I will order salmon! Salmon is usually pretty good.
The gentleman, who was our server, whose name escapes me at this time, was very pleasant! He was friendly and helpful, though he did mess up my order twice. LOL but I could be forgiving of that. I also appreciated how clean the establishment was! The exterior of the place was free of cigarette butts and debris and trash, and even the men's restroom was up to par! Moreover, I really appreciated the decor of the place. It had sort of a retro / cave or cabin feel. That was pretty great!
So overall, I had a decent experience there. If I could give them three and a half stars as opposed to three stars, I would give them...

The wait was 1 hour which was ok but she said the bar counter had a 1 hour wait too which didn't make sense. We watched her be rude to some people that also approached the podium. I went to the counter to see if we could just get drinks at the bar on Father's Day and 4 wait staff passed me and then a waitress asked a manager and we were given permission to buy drinks from them. I'd hate to give them unwanted money from my pocket. Bars are the easiest money and have a high overhead. We had drinks and the bartenders were great even though they were busy. Seems like they were understaffed for a holiday.
Bartender asked if we wanted to order so we did. There were only 3 of us so that was great. 40 minutes later our table notification went off. By this time we had plenty of drinks and food ordered.
The fish and chips was good and my wife said the salmon and Oscar was good but could of used more crab/Oscar. $28-29
My tri tips were supposed to be medium rare and were medium. It was also overly salty and barely warm. The Mac and cheese was mediocre but the roasted veggies were pretty good. For $21 I wasn't expecting too much but some warmth/heat could've made the food better.
My wife loved the Mai Tai and the chocolate 6 layer cake was huge. We ate 1/3 of the cake between the 2 of us.
Total bill was $125+. I've definitely had better from them before. I'm hoping this isn't due to their separation from Landrys.

Excellent food and quick/friendly service. Huge portions. Become a Landry's member for $40, worth it if you eat out at several places. I can never eat my desserts here as...
