Management Attention Needed: Confusion Over Local Gaming Promotion

I visited Sunset Tavern specifically because of the gaming promotion partnered with a local grocery store, which is advertised on the back of store receipts. These coupons are an excellent marketing strategy that benefits both the business and customers, and I'm sure many people use them.

However, upon arrival, I was greeted by a bartender who seemed genuinely apprehensive. When I first inquired about the promotion, he flatly stated the bar did not have any gaming promotions. It was only after I produced and showed him the physical grocery store coupon that he became hesitant and eventually honored it.

While the coupon was ultimately accepted, the entire interaction felt awkward and unwelcoming. As a prospective customer, I am literally only there because of the marketing promotion.

I strongly recommend that management ensure all employees are fully aware of and trained on current promotions, especially high-visibility marketing partnerships like the grocery receipt coupons. Better employee awareness will lead to a warmer welcome and a much better first impression for...

I found my #1 Hendo bartender, Lala- the Hawaiian dancing queen! As always, she helped me feel like I was a regular even though it was my first time at this bar. Lala is accompanied by another lovely bartender, Candice.

The hubs and I sat at the bar and played a few rounds on gaming machines, we got a players card, and ordered some soft, mildly salted pretzel bites that came with a cheese sauce, $7.77 nachos that are actually mini bean tacos topped with shredded lettuce and drizzled cheese sauce, as well as a burger with these lightly salted swirled fries accompanied by a perfectly consistent ranch dressing. If you’re sitting at the bar & order food- you’ll get a bar buddy to comfortably eat.

Dave was my server/bartender and he was a real treat. Polite, quick, and quick to understand requests.

I purchased a Jalapeno Bacon Breakfast Burrito and it was exactly what I expected. An American style breakfast burrito as I asked for. I also ordered a Dr.Pepper but unfortunately they don't have it , so I got a coke instead. The soda wasn't charged on my bill, but I did also purchase a drink and food.

My drink was made to my expectations, I've had lots of bartenders mess up the White Gummy Bear shot but he got it perfect first try.

I didn't end up wanting dessert, but their options do look enticing for a potential future visit.

Really quaint , calm atmosphere, lots of booths and bar seats. Minor CCTV is used to protect the lone bartender for when they are operating at these crazy times (it's almost 2am)
