Wills Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in Henderson

I’m from Hawaii and currently bunkering down in NV during this pandemic. L&L is a popular local spot in Hawaii to get great local foods. Surprised to even find an L&L here in Henderson. Nonetheless the food seemed similar to what I eat back at home. Ordered a Chicken Katsu mini plate and a BBQ beef mix plate. Prices here are easily the best just because everything in Hawaii is quite pricey. The chicken katsu was thin pieces. Not enough meat if you asked me. In Hawaii we a lot lol. Everything else was pretty good except the beef was a tad salty. Not cheap with rice and I personally think the mac salad tastes like ones that they make back in Hawaii.

Ordered grilled chicken with “Mixed Greens” and to my surprise there was no greens in the plate itself just a side salad with Iceberg lettuce and 1 slice of tomato diced in 4 ways with a ranch packet. Side salad was horrible and flavorless as if I even need to say that, and then I got into the plate. Two healing piles of brown rice that tastes like absolute trash, (reminded me of real bad plain oatmeal) and the BBQ chicken which was decent, but I’ve had better in my own kitchen. I’m a native Hawaiian living in the desert. Always looking for good Kine grindz. I stopped in because I was jonesing for some manapua. I have to say, they have decent manapua. Of course it’s not Libby’s or Chun wa Kam. But not bad!! Definitely cured my craving. My only complaint is that the manapua was the size of Bao not traditional Hawaiian manapua.
