I've enjoyed the Village Pub for years. The one on Flamingo was my go-to after my swing shift but they kept paring down the menu. Then I went to the airport location on Sunset. They had the "enhanced" menu with pastas and soups that was taken out of the East Cannery location. I'm giving them 5 stars because the staff don't deserve to be punished for management's decision to pare down this location's menu options. They no longer have Chicken Parmesan (which was a staple). They no longer have the apple cobbler (which was amazing). They no longer have the Quesadilla. They no longer have taco salad. THEY NO LONGER HAVE THE FRENCH ONION SOUP! It's disappointing that customer favorites are no longer on the menu. So, then, they are encouraging customers to go elsewhere. I would often get a meal after gaming for an hour or two. Now I can go to Ichabod's or other places where there are more menu choices. I hate to do that to my favorite bartenders, but they forced me to move from the East Cannery to get my favorite food items. Now they are forcing me to go to another brand entirely. However, the Prime Rib was excellent tonight and at a reasonable price, and the service was awesome, but I was disappointed that I couldn't follow it up with the apple dessert I was expecting. And to learn that so many other items have been deleted from the menu means I won't be back in...
Read moreMy wife and I had always talked about going to this particular village club because it close to a few places that we like including the Galaxy theater across the street.
We had originally gone to eat another place but were not able to get a food there and had show tickets so by the time we got to the village pub we were very hungry and ready to just eat.
I ordered the rack of ribs and my wife ordered their prime rib which are both specials and things that they are known for. The food was brought out fairly promptly within 10 or 15 minutes and everything seemes hot and fresh.
They had just closed up the dining Room and although eating at the bar is not optimal we decided why not. In all fairness my wife did point out to me that the service was not as bad as i thought it was. The one star is because we both got sick that night and it carried through to the next morning and most of the next day. It ruined our plans for our Family Day because we really did not want to be far away from the Bathroom.
I did try calling the location to let someone know that we both got sick but did not speak to anyone who said they would do anything more than relay a message. Considering this is a corporate operation with several places around town I would have expected more in the way of some procedure to...
