Been to a few village pubs around town for the great food and great service...and can only assume this location either fired the chef right before we got there? or the chef quit right before we got there. There was a hiccup at our normal go-to village pub (other eastern henderson locarion) where then we ended up at this one in horizon ridge...we got in a reasonable abount of time (as one would expect it takes to seat a table of 9 with a few babies in the mix) the dining room was near empty and no more than 10-12 people already seated. while our server was very pleasant and smiling...it took near 20 min just to get water brought to table(arrived and seated by 6pm)...and put in a soft drink order with a few appetizers. fast forward to appetizers coming out about 25 min later and we finally were able to put in food orders. we are now nearly 45 min in just to order main dishes. orders in at 645... and the first burned food plates are delivered by 730 steaks charcoal black and raw inside (supposed to meduim) chicken fingers a few shades to black. conversely the salad was fair...the clam chowder fair...tater skins good...and most the rest of dishes came out and party was just happy to finally have food....(kept looking over shoulder to see if there were hidden camera crews to see how far someone can be pushed..yes one of those types of shows) but nope...0! sense of any kind of time management. My steak was supposed to med. and came out like this (see photo) sad sad sad day as i loved the village pubs...but this has wondering if I'll ever go back NEVER to this one up horizon ridge...and not sure if we'll even give our go to other pubs another visit either...read my reviews im not an impatient diner....but this was a complete fail of village pub 10000 eastern spot. Server was fantastic and apologetic...and we left her a $35 tip to boot...(as its not her fault) the no sense of urgency from the kitchen that day and also burned/improperly prepared food coming from kitchen. for this no stars on this pub. sad as it seems all our favorite places have tanked/nose dived and failed latley atound this vegas valley. only took time to photo my "medium" grey steak. smh. so while i cannot reccomend you get steak (cooked as you ask) nor to have no charcoal burned chicken fingers for your kiddos...i can say the fried shrimp, house sald, and tater skins were acceptble...we were so hungry by the time the food actually got to us before retirement age...we were...
Read moreOkay, I cannot stay quiet anymore! We eat here every day. The food USED TO BE GOOD! Now, we just go to see the wonderful servers! The food, however has definitely gone way down hill. The cooks have bad attitudes and do not care what they send out!!! We always look forward to the monthly specials. Well, we were so upset when the meatball sandwich was not made as it was supposed to be made.First few times it came out great, then they changed the sauce. It was thick and tasted like salsa!!!They would not change it back!! Now, the monthly flatbread pizza has changed. First time, delicious. After that, they shrunk it! They are using the wrong flatbread, smaller but, they still charge the same !! We tried it again hoping it would be good . It came out cold and the cheese was not even melted!!! Shocked!! Each time you never know what the heck your going to get or ,if you have to send it back, yet again!!! We are not the only ones complaining. Something needs to be done ASAP. These cooks are ruining your business!!! The servers are awesome and try to make the mistakes right. But, they always get grief from the kitchen. It's not right!!! The only trouble is, is with the terrible cooks. Its getting to the point that we do not want to eat there anymore.!!!!!! No consistency at all!! Read moreI used to order food here all the time. Unfortunately they said they stopped taking orders over the phone and orders could only be made in person... During a pandemic. Food was always okay but I unfortunately don't feel comfortable eating in the dirty dining room or bar, (which to be honest was already usually pretty dirty before covid.) The ONE time I tried to place an order for takeout was a nightmare. I walk in and the lady at the front tells me takeout orders need to be placed in the bar. "Strange, but okay" I think as I head to the bar. This is at 2pm, mind you. I go to the bar and there's not a single person to be found. I wait 5 minutes and walk back to the front. Now the woman is gone and no one is at the front. The staff is NOWHERE TO BE SEEN. I start to question whether or not I'm in "The Shining" and just when I begin to lose my grip on my sanity I see a young man come from the back. I explain everything to him and he apologized, said he would get someone and ran quickly to the back of the restaurant. After about 2 minutes the woman I ORIGINALLY talked to has the audacity to walk out from the back, sigh, and go "Sorry, What did you want?" The staff isn't attentive at all, so being forced to go there and dine for a full hour at their mercy would be like pulling teeth. Don't waste...
