Jolly Ollie's Pizza & Pub — Restaurant in Hendersonville

On Friday, September 2, 2022, at approximately 9/10 pm, my wife, and I along with some friends had visited this restaurant for a night out to celebrate. We went upstairs and were greeted by a very unfriendly bouncer. We ordered food (a salad and a grinder) and several drinks as we tried to enjoy the night this business advertises. Shortly after our arrival, I was surrounded by several bouncers/security and told to exit the building. Demanding a reason why, I was told very aggressively and humiliatingly "just step outside we need to talk". I was escorted on a back patio by the security staff and forced to reveal my undergarments because they said they saw a gun on my hip. I explained several times that I am a law enforcement officer and do not have a weapon on my person, but they still aggressively and unjustly asked me to reveal my under clothing and frisked me. Needless to say, they DID NOT find a weapon of any sort and said that my "pants looked like a gun." We spent upwards of $30-40 on entertainment that this business advertises to provide and yet were humiliated and vilified for potentially discriminatory reasons being Hispanic. We were appalled by the lack of customer service throughout the night and the harassment tactics the security staff used on us. As the night went on, the security staff glared at us and purposely made us feel unwelcome. Absolutely no refund was offered and we left before things escalated feeling threatened. Let me start with a little background- I own a small music school called Keen School of Music. We put students together to form bands, and the bands go and perform at venues in the local area. This semester, we contacted Jolly Ollie's to see if they would be interested in hosting our two adult student bands for their fall show.

From the first phone call- the service and communication is absolutely phenomenal!! Jessica is so good at what she does!! She was so open and easy to chat with, and understood what we needed right off the bat. Throughout the planning process, she was so easy to get in touch with and chat with. She is an absolute PRO.

Day of the show- the venue is amazing! It's so clean, and decorated so nicely! The beer garden is just too perfect! The stage is great too! Well built and the tables are great!

The pizza is some of the best pizza I've had in a long time! I love that the crust isn't ACTUALLY crispy like a pizza crust is supposed to be! It's not soggy at all! Great pizza! The drinks are amazing as well! I got the Walking at Midnight I think? It was so so good!

Our bands and clients were so happy with the venue, and Jessica and the rest of the staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make the show feel extra special for the bands! Thank you so much to the Jolly Ollie's team for your outstanding service! Give Jessica a raise, she is working hard! I could not recommend this place enough to people for hanging out with your friends or having them host your events!

I can't wait to bring our bands back here, and I'm already planning to come back for pool and darts...

After playing soccer at nearby Moss-Wright Park, we wanted to enjoy a family meal of pizza and other goodies. We drove by Jolly Ollie’s before, but it was shut down due to repairs from a tornado. I’m happy to say that it’s now open with great food, friendly service, and lively music upstairs in the bar.

Yelp said that Jolly Ollie’s was open until 11pm, but the dining room closes at 10pm. We got there about 9:30pm, but Sydney didn’t turn us away. She was friendly and welcoming, and she was very attentive all night.

We ordered an appetizer of fried mozzarella and the Southwest egg rolls. The mozzarella was crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The egg rolls were just as delicious.

For our main dishes, we ordered a large pepperoni and a large meat lovers (aka Shipwrecked). I eat a TON of pizza, and the pepperoni pizza was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Hands down.

The sandwiches, pasta, and other menu items looked good. My son wants to come back for the baked ziti, and my wife wants to try the wings.

If you like to play pool, sing karaoke, or want a stiff drink, visit their upstairs bar. Wide open space and well-lit. I hopped upstairs and the people seemed friendly and having a good time.

Sydney told us that their outdoor patio has a bar and they have live music on the weekends.
