SALAD BAR
They have a good salad bar but you can't tell what dressings they have out there because only one or two are labeled. They offer fried chicken, pulled and served cold to top it off.
HOT BAR
They also have a small home-cooked section that usually has Fried Chicken a specialty mashed potato and/or a regular one, gravy, steak fries, a couple of vegetables, and cornbread.
PIZZA BUFFET
They seem to have a rotation of different style of pizza and do a decent job of keeping it stocked. They always have some kind of specialty pizza like "Nashville Hot Chicken", or "Chicken Bacon Ranch", etc.
DESERT
They always have at least one streusel dessert pizza with cream cheese icing,. Then there's either a giant chocolate cookie or a Blueberry, Apple, or BlackBerry Dessert Pizza, topped with streusel and cream cheese icing. The desserts are served warm and there is a soft-serve ice cream machine right beside them.
The atmosphere is usually calm and a little stale at times. Everything is self-serve and there are no servers. They do however have someone to tend to the lobby to keep the tables wiped and the trash out.
4 out of 5 Stars Rating
The only reason I do not give five stars is that the lunch buffet it's fairly pricey at a standard $16 per adult. That's a little higher than the average for the area. I feel for what is offered, $12 - $14 would be...
Read moreThe pizza was ok.. A long way from being compared to CICI'S. I absolutely hate CICI'S I guess it depends on what day you visit here on whether the pizza is good or not. The chocolate chip cookie dessert pizza was good. The ice cream was not real. Fried chicken tasted like something you pickup from a gas station. The workers with long hair needs to be pulled back behind the hat. I arrived well before dinner and the manager I guess was having an attitude about the dinner buffet price. Apparently, when I ordered it was after 4 maybe 3 mins past.. And I was being charged dinner price buffet. So the cashier asked if he could adjust the price since I was there before 4 and was just deciding on whether to eat there or not. That owner or manager made an uncalled for remark about next time I'll have to pay the dinner price if I'm ordering after 4. There's not going to be a next time because I will not come back to rude management. The cashier girl was way more friendly and even stopped by table to ask how the food was. Get that tall man out and maybe this could be a nice pizza joint. No response from management about...
Read moreI had high hopes anticipating it would be more like the famous "Shakey's" and not another Cici's or Mr. Gatti's. Pizza was average buffet pizza and not much better then Cici's or Gatti's. Chicken was very good. The issue I have is the $15 price for average pizza. For $1 more I can eat at Monell's. At Monell's you get family style all you can eat fried chicken, 3 other entrees, homemade sides, biscuits, cornbread, dessert and drinks. I would never pay Cici's or Gatti's $15 and Pizza Ranch isn't much better. This should be more like $9 or $10. In the future I'll either take my $32 and buy 2 large pizzas from a real pizza place and have next day leftovers, or I'll order chicken off of Pizza Ranch's menu. The chicken is very good. One more thing, their ice machines couldn't keep up and they ran out. Having more than 200 other locations you'd think they would know to have lots of bags of ice in their freezer to supplement the grand opening. I don't like warm pop or tea. Glad to have them in town, just don't think it's my kind of place. If you like Cici's or Gatti's then you'll love...
