Its pretty mid-grade. Menu is reminiscent of 1990's Mexican restaurants. Combos, gringo tacos, cheese dip. You know the drill. They have probably been serving the same thing for years and I'm sure its served the community well. The menu is not unlike most Mexican restaurants on the eastern side of the US have been up until the last 10 years or so when menus were refined to reflect a bit more authentic dishes. Safe, if not boring. I had a combo and it was ok, but my chili relleno was cold in the middle.
The menus could really use a refresh. Maybe some street tacos, more seafood choices, menudo, that type of thing. Hendersonville can handle it, the citizens won't run away from a bit more authenticity.
The service was friendly, but a bit slow. This was a busy night, so I'm giving a bit of leeway here. Seems like a nice place with friendly service and good atmosphere. I'd sure like to have a reason on the menu to come back, it seems like it could be a fun place...
Read moreWe got seated fairly quick. While waiting on the food the servers sat a party consisting of 20+ teens and adults. They put a chair for one of the teens right beside my seat. All of these kids were yelling across the room and banging on the tables. I didn't get more than 4 bites into my dinner when I asked my husband to flag down someone to get our check and boxes. Neither one of us could tolerate the noise and banging from these kids to actually eat our dinner. This was my first time leaving a restaurant when we had just received our food. When we went to leave, we noticed a very open section where we could have sat and it be a little more quiet that they could have offered to move us to. My food was disgusting when reheating in the microwave when getting home. I have had other not so good experiences at this place and after each I have waited several months to go back and try it again but after this I don't think I will ever go back...
Read moreWe've eaten at Dos Margaritas for years and went there tonight for our daughter's birthday. I accidentally left a gift bag that had several cards filled with money under our booth. We were one of the last people to leave and I got 15 minutes down the road before I realized I left it. I went back to the restaurant and it was gone. After talking to several employees someone said they through it away and it's in the dumpster. I searched the dumpster for the bag and found it, I was so excited until I opened the bag. The cards were in there but the money was gone from each card. So, while the food is good, the staff (at least part of it) are dishonest thieves. Shame on me for being irresponsible and leaving the gift bag, but shame on whichever employee decided to take the money. So when you go here, hold tight to...
