My husband placed an online order and I went in to pick it up. The order was for two Gyro’s. The options on the website for the Gyros had lots of strange items to go on it and my husband didn’t want those items so as the website says “I like it how it is but...” my husband clicked all the things he didn’t want. He basically wanted just a normal gyro, no jalapeños mayo avocado or anything else that typically isn’t on one etc. He wanted just the standard items to come on a Gyro. I went inside to pick it up, and the cashier was super nice and friendly and she told me that it wasn’t ready yet which I knew I was a few minutes early, so I also bought some dessert and then happily waited for the pick up order to be done. As I was waiting there I couldn’t help but hear one of the cooks at the window behind the counter being extremely loud talking. I quickly realized he was working on our order, and being very unprofessional about what was ordered. He said comments like, “This is the weirdest order I have ever made. The only thing that could make this worse is if they added avocado.” “I’m not responsible for the aftermath of this order.” “Wow and they ordered chips wow. I’ve never made a more weird order.” “When these people come to pick this up I mean wow.” As you can see from these quotes it wasn’t just one sentence, he was very loud and kept making fun of the order that was placed, so much so that it didn’t take long for me, a good distance away, to know he was talking bad about the order we placed. When the order was finished the very nice cashier handed it to me and I told her that I heard the conversation of the people behind the counter and that it was very inappropriate/unprofessional and she said I know I was trying to get them to stop talking that way. She was great and I feel very bad for her that these guys also caused embarrassment to her as she heard what they were saying and knew I was the customer and could hear. I went out to the car to show my husband the order and I was also obviously upset from hearing the Guy that was talking (loudly) negatively about our order for a few minutes. My husband said the order was incorrect and went inside upset because they not only made fun of our order but they didn’t get it right. They did fix the order and did offer my husband free dessert in an attempt to make it right which is appreciated. But we didn’t want free dessert, we just didn’t want to hear unprofessional workers making very loud rude comments about an order that was placed. If you want to make fun of orders, work at a kitchen that is completely closed off in the back out of hearing distance. This was the second time we have been here and the first time was great, great service and great food, but unfortunately because of this experience we will...
Read moreOur first experience with the Baker’s Box was great but they are about 25 min drive so we hadn’t gotten back. We went online to look at the menu and was going to call in an order when I noticed on their website it said half off your first order if you download the app. So I downloaded the app and gave them all my info. I ordered two club sandwiches with fries. I drove all the way over and they handed me a bag with one sandwich. When I asked about the other sandwich she said they only got an order for one. I said you charged me for two at the half off. She said we aren’t doing half off any more. I said well your website said you were that is why I downloaded the app. She says “oh well I don’t know”. She couldn’t have cared less. I asked to speak to the manager she laughed and said I am the manager. I said well aren’t you pleasant. I called my son to see if he still wanted another sandwich so I ordered it and informed her that I would let people know that they aren’t honoring the promo clearly on their website. Again she laughed about it and turned around and started making smart remarks to the other employee. My son asked me to get her name when she gave me the second sandwich and as I read her first name Ana from her shirt to my son who was still on the phone she says it is Mariana with a smart attitude (well maybe put that on your shirt then if you want people to have your full name). Their attitudes there suck. She even stood there and told the owner and he walked away and didn’t care either. Got home hoping the food was at least as good as the first time and it was ok but not worth driving 25 minutes for. Both clubs were very dry as they put hardly any of their sauce on them and I expected the fries to be cold but also expected them to be fully cooked which they were not. Won’t go back again and will advise anyone downloading the app not to expect them to honor what they are promoting. The other time I went the place was packed. This time I went at dinner time on a Saturday night and it was virtually empty both inside and on the patio. After reading some of the reviews on here about the pattern of rude behavior I...
Read moreI came into town a couple of days ago and stopped to buy some desserts to go with a takeout meal I bought for family I was visiting. I moved from Hendersonville several years ago and I had never seen this place before as this restaurant. The place looked clean. There was only one table seated with 2 couples at it. The staff was friendly. It seemed to be a good atmosphere. The desserts really looked delicious. I specifically asked for 3 chocolate puddings, 1 lemon tart, and a strawberry cupcake. This is exactly what they put in the box. Or so I thought. I was so disappointed that I had just spent $30 on these 5 desserts. I brought them home and put all but 1 pudding in the refrigerator. When it was time for dessert, these were far from what I thought they were. The chocolate puddings (all 3 of them) were more like a very thick hot fudge that was super grainy, not smooth or like pudding at all. The strawberry cupcake was not a strawberry cupcake. It was a very dry cupcake with a dollop of whipped cream on top that seemed to be mixed with a grainy strawberry flavored mix of some sort. Almost like a strawberry Kool-Aid or something. The lemon tart was the only thing that tasted ok, but nothing spectacular, just okay. At $5.00-$5.50 per dessert, I expected much better. I had to throw everything in the trash because it was inedible. I was embarrassed for bringing it. I REALLY wish the two ladies that were behind the counter had corrected me, and said, this is NOT chocolate pudding, this is NOT a strawberry cupcake, instead of saying how great they were. I'd like to add, that there are little signs saying what each item is in the Google pictures. The only signs I saw were on the cookies, the pies, and the tarts. Next time, I will go with the tried and true oldest best bakery in...
