Hobby House — Local services in Hendersonville

Felt very unwelcome in this shop. Before even walking in there is a rude sign saying if you have the flu go home and come back when you are healthy. We drove an hour to get there and upon arrival asked if they have a restroom. "not a public one," the owner said. So we had the choice of driving somewhere else or peeing in plastic cups in the car.

They were not inclined to offer any help at all. We actually called to make sure they were open before driving out there and the lady gave us the most strange and quite rude answer... "well were here right now"...

I think they cater exclusively to the people who suit their interests. They don't seem to have any desire to acquire new customers. My best recommendation is to find a different hobby store or shop online. I think a customer service robot would be more friendly than the owners of this shop.

I was excited to check out this place but it was all around an uncomfortable experience that I regretted before we even walked through the door. And since people with the full blown flu love going out shopping for model trains and airplanes (where else would you rather be when you can't hold down food than a place with no restroom), just remember you will be asked to leave if you so...

Well the lady of the business at least said hello and helped a little but the man behind the counter did not said a word at all. Just busy busy with his computer. The only hobby shop in Hendersonville you'd think they want to foster something in the youngsters who actually come into this store. My son's 13 and was practally ignored. Don't bother with this store. Lots of dust and uninteresting and non interacting people. Think they would get the display train running. Been...

I would really like to say that going out of our way and waiting for a half an hour for the owner to open the door was worth it but I really can't. Their website stated they open at 10 AM, owner shows up at 10:20 AM. Didn't really care that they had a customer sitting in the car waiting.
