ALDI — Local services in Hermitage

I usually enjoy shopping at Aldi, but my most recent trip made me feel like not returning back. There was one cashier, a middle aged woman with dark shoulder length hair, who acted pained to even be at work. First of all I told her that a seasoning I was planning on purchasing was leaking, and she wipes it off, scans it and says "looks fine to me." When I got it home the seal was broken inside, but she was too lazy to look, and sold me and my family a tampered product. Someone else came to open, and she loud and obnoxiously told all of the people behind me to go to the other lane "because it was going to take her(me) a while to put all of her(my) groceries up," which was super embarrassing. I was buying groceries for two people. She was extremely rude, had no customer service skills whatsoever, and should not be working with the general public. As I continued bagging my groceries for two households I told myself that maybe she was just having a bad day. The next person in line she was somewhat pleasant to, still talking about and apologizing for me, and felt the need to express that they're timed. Right after she mentioned that they were timed, she continues to ramble on about a personal situation and how her daughter's dance is coming up to a person who seemed completely aloof and uncaring, after she had already rang their groceries. She was a foul mannered woman, and I truly don't know how someone like her could get hired anywhere. IF I decide to return and shop at Aldi again and I see her again I will personally ask her name and to speak directly to her manager. 11/1/25 i placed and instacart order. I pulled up and parked as a curbside employee was walking back inside the side door to aldis. I checked in and waited about 10 minutes. I got a message saying there was no runner and to go inside and pickup my order, that was fine. I went inside and walked up to an employee to ask how to get my order. They said to go back to curbside and they would send someone out. Who they sent out, i believe her name was Rachel, was unbelievably RUDE and unprofessional. She asked how to open my trunk and i stated that there was a button on the outside of my trunk. She proceeded to sarcastically thumbs up me and roll her eyes at me. Im not sure if she thought i could not see her but i did in my side mirror. I asked her why she was being so rude and she started to smile and laugh at me. I asked her what was funny and she laughed more and said she was just happy. I am completely appalled at how i was treated by this employee when i was not being rude at all when she came out with my groceries. I use curb side pickup several times a month because it is much easier with kids and this interaction may have ended my time with Aldis.
