** this is a comment for an employee. First, id like to share feedback on a separate matter. Immediately following will be my 5 star review for the Amazing Rylee. Thank you.
Happy post apocalyptic New Year, Mr. or Ms. Del Taco. Hey btw im leaving this review here and praying those big tymers in charge take time to read Google reviews... A quick suggestion for the New Year... MORE EFFICIENT WAYS TO RELAY TO MANAGERS HOW WELL YOUR STAFF IS DOING. Surly in 2021 we can get rid of the 10 minute phone survey (which btw everyone if you begin the survey but get disconnected, or hang up before finishing; or if you give a mark less than a perfect score rating- say by pressing 4/5 instead of giving a 5/5... IT ACTUALLY GOES AGAINST the restaurant!!! Which being a conglomerate cooperation as big as Dep Taco then sends messages to the people who get the BIG BUCKS that this location is not doing a good job because they received bad scores 'they received 4 out of 5 instead of 5 out of 5' this then puts the people you want to highlight on the hot seat....) Come on Del Taco. We can do better!! We can avoid making the people on your front lines feel bad for a good job well done. We can spend a little more time where it matters, as opposed to time on shameless plugs like"would you like to try our new _" both bring in revenue, only one brings back customers. .... Just a suggestion however. I didn't research the bottom line figures of my above opinions.
** This sunday morning I pulled into the drive through bright and early after a very cold weekend of camping. Sleepies in my eyes and still waking up, I made my order and then realized as I drove to the window that I packed my purse in my trunk with my camping gear. The panic started to pour in. I pulled up (in a full blown panic attack at this point) and explained to Rylee that I would need to fish my purse out of my truck underneath the camping gear that of course didn't get packed in any organized way that would make this nightmare easier. Submerged in the trunk of my car with only my heiny in view for the customers behind me to use as an explanation ... AT LAST!! I see the tiny strap to my purse and pull it up through the mess. Sleep deprived. Embarrassed. Cranky & in need of my Value Iced Coffee; My tears eager to betray me and roll down my face.... I hand my payment to Rylee and apologize. Now you would think after mumbling my order into the intercom... Pulling up & looking homeless after not showering all weekend only to make a scene and hold up the line: That Rylee would be at the very least while still maintaining professionalism EAGER to get me through the line as quickly as possible. Out of the way. No. Nope. Not in the slightest.
I am grateful to say that the employee that your establishment had on duty this morning not only remained calm and graceful, but offered in her kind, non judgmental and very understanding demeanor; my food as well as a hug. No not a real hug. Of course we are maintaining the rules of covid as well as the covert norm... But this is what im getting to.... Your employee is such an amazing human she was able to calm my anxiety making me feel AS IF I had received a hug. She did this while maintaining the quick pace needed to expedite the last bit of this process. She finished our transaction (after all the del taco'y goodbyes you train them to say) by taking 2 seconds extra to say... "Happy New year and a genuine 'take care' that sent me on my way with a smile and a warm feeling in my heart that saved what could have been a terrible start to my day.
You guys did a wonderful job im choosing such a pivotal personality to guide the morning drive through line. Thank you Del Taco. Bravo, to your hiring department. Standing ovation to you Rylee (hope you see this) and Happy New...
Read moreThe worst del taco I've been to lately, and that's really saying something. I ordered a chicken with avacado bowl. It wasn't edible. The chicken in it was good. That's all I can say that is positive. The salsa was rotten real bad, I mean very rotten. The avacado was NOT RIPE again, I mean really not ripe, it wasn't even really green, it was kinda white, and really hard you just couldn't cut it with your del taco spoon, and I didn't try it but I'm sure it would've been crunchy. Just how I like my avacado, hard n crunchy. I mean how do you put that on a dish of food for a customer? You have to really not care about your business, and I'd have real doubts about any sanitation that employee is in charge of doing. Lastly, the rice in my bowl was mostly very hard. Super hard, yellow, and all like welded together. I really should've taken pictures of this thing, I mean rarely is something so bad that I leave a review like this, but man oh man, I'm telling you, this was so messed up. I just wanted to warn anyone who might take the time to read this, really, look elsewhere. There is plenty of food in the area. You've been...
Read moreUsed to love this location, not any more. Always and I mean always missing food the tortillas are always hard fries are either under cooked or over cooked staff is rude. I ordered 2 del beef burritos as I usually do and this time there was basically no meet called to let manager know and I got well it must have been someone we are training and there’s nothing I can do about your food. Um wow for one you tell me it must have been someone your training? So you don’t know then? And two you should be willing for me to bring them back in to at least look at what was made. I then asked for corporate number and name I got don’t have number and have a nice day and was hung up on. So now I’m in contact...
