La Familia Bakery — Restaurant in Hesperia

Came in as I usually do, and waited my turn just like everyone else does. Suddenly this lady comes in right when it was my turn and decided it’s okay to interrupt me while I’m deciding what to buy. What bothered me more, however, was the fact that the lady behind the counter( whom I always liked and respected) decided it would be okay to start giving the lady a price list for whatever cakes she was inquiring about. I took one look at the potential customer ( she hadn’t bought anything yet) and told her politely but assertively if she could please wait until it was her turn. She clapped back and basically said I was the rude one for making a fuzz. Mean while lady behind the counter looked at me like I was the rude one for getting bothered. I don’t know in what other establishment it’s okay to stop midway with a customer to provide service to another one. It’s the principal of the matter for me. The rude and entitled customer received validation from the employee by not telling her to wait. I will not be returning to this place.

The red velvet cake was a 4 star, good flavor, looked great, moist. In my opinion could have used more cocoa powder or chocolate for a richer taste. I make red velvet and I always add a little extra than what the recipe calls for. My niece's got the cake for their mom's, my sister's, bday. My sister will often bring pan dulce to family gatherings, its always delicious. Friday the 8th of Aug however, the pan dulce I got was dry. Whether it was a bad batch, day old, another baker that missed adding shortening, butter, or something else, they were dry. I sincerely hope it was a fluke because when my sister brings the pan dulce, it's perfect. I got 2 that looks like corn cob, 1 piggy and one that looks like one called novia, round with brown swirls. I don't like to dip my pan dulce in my coffee, but I had to. I will return to try again and will update my review if...

I regret finding this panaderia due to me breaking my intermittent fasting lol!... I cannot express how delicious their sweet bread is!! I recommend this place to family and friends! My family's favorite is the elotes! And they are filled from end to end with their filling im not sure what it is in the middle but it is very scrumptious!! no market can come close to how they make these, so PLEASE don't change it!! Today I took a chance on their pink cookie, again not sure what the name of it is but it was so fresh and soft I had to post a review on it . This brings me back to my childhood where I use to live in the San Gabriel area and I'm thankful your business is up here! I appreciate your bakers and your customer service is always so nice and accommodating. I hope it never changes and you have continued growth of customers enjoying these...
