I've been going to panchos since me and my family moved up to the high desert and it was good in the beginning but maybe about 6 years till now it's crap, I'm sorry but the pupusas have gotten terrible don't know what the heck is going on but everytime we go out and buy afew of them there is always something wrong either they are raw, no flavor or literally burned and dried and we know a fresh pupusa when we taste one and most of the time im pretty sure they are giving us re heated pupusas and we have complained in the most respectful way but they always have an excuse and give additude like if it's our fault, well start checking your food and I'm sure people won't complain, I mean we're not asking for free food here we're pay for our food but this was the last time I wish them the best, today I purchased eight pupusas and they are pricey and literally got pissed as soon as we got home after trying them and told my wife after getting home and driving all the way to oak hills were we live from main in hesperia and I figured if I go all the way back I'm going to waist fuel and were hungry, so i told my wife grab all the food and throw it away even though it hurts me to trow away food i would not even consider giving them to our dog they were terrible so folks it's your money but I would look for another place and would give them NO STARS AT ALL IF WE COULD 😡
The camera doesn't let you taste it of course but they were all burned, smelled and tasted burned and were really...
Read moreI am very dissatisfied and disappointed with this establishment. My fiancé and I have been regular customers for the last 8 months or so. We looked forward to their “caldo de res” and their ensalada drink. I always tip minimum $5, usually more. But the way we were treated today (8/01/21), caused us to comit to never returning to this restaurant. We called multiple times as we drove there to request a “to go” order, but they evidently stop answering their phone 20 minutes before they close. When we arrived, which was 15 minutes prior to their closing time, they refused to take my order stating they were closed. I know they recognized us as regular clients, but that didn’t matter one bit. That was very bad business. They are obviously too comfortable and feel they can afford to turn away clients. I don’t wish them any bad but I do hope that if they begin to notice they are losing customers that they realize this is a small but very proud community, and word gets around fast. BE GOOD TO YOUR CUSTOMERS, FOR THEY PAY YOUR BILLS AND KEEP YOUR ESTABLISHMENT OPEN…. Take care and please open your eyes, no one is too big that they can treat their customers that...
Read moreFirst off, this food is very delicious, very flavorful! This Main St., Hesperia location is the same restaurant as the Pancho's in Victorville by the DMV. I remember eating at the one in Victorville many, many years ago and finding it excellent! So, I was glad to see they had another location here in the High Desert. At this Hesperia location, my husband and I both ordered a combo plate that included; a chili relleno, and an enchilada with rice and beans. Everything was delicious! The chips and salsa were also very good! One thing to keep in mind is that this Mexican food has a Salvadorean flare to it which will make it just a little different than traditional Mexican dishes you might be accustomed to. Nonetheless, I highly recommend it! My only reason for taking off a star was for cleanliness. When we arrived, our table was dirty from previous diners, so we asked our waitress to clean it. She did but did not do the best job and left some food on the tablecloth. Also, we dined on the patio, and there was a smell of a possible problem with their septic tank. I was willing to overlook those minor issues because the food was...
