Honestly this is the Panera from hell. It takes me a lot to write a negative review as I’m usually a patient person but it’s been too many times to not say something. The first time I went when it first opened I was super excited. I put in a drive thru order and when I pulled up they told me to park out front since my order wasn’t done yet. 15 minutes passed with no one coming out. When I went inside to inquire about the status of my order, they acted clueless as if they didn’t know I was out front and made me wait even longer for my order, causing me to arrive late to work. Another time I ordered coffee and I got a nice surprise of coffee ground with it. Another I asked for iced coffee with liquid cane sugar and what do they do? Add sugar packets. Completely different things.
But the best one was today… I ordered a breakfast sandwich with Ciabatta bread. When I arrived to work I opened my sandwich thinking, hmm this is smaller than usual. When I opened it what do I find but a croissant as the bread and not ciabatta. Are you kidding me ? How difficult is it to read ? Comprehension evades this generation clearly. Read moreThis Panera location is a complete disappointment. Despite being fully staffed, the employees showed little to no urgency in preparing orders. My meal took far longer than acceptable, even though the store was not busy. The staff — mostly Gen Z — clearly displayed the behavior many have criticized: doing the bare minimum with no sense of professionalism or pride in their work.
It's alarming that a location open for only four months already has an overwhelming number of one-star reviews. At this rate, if serious changes aren't made, this store won’t last another year. Management needs to take immediate action. I strongly recommend hiring a seasoned, no-nonsense manager who can hold this team accountable and enforce real standards.
The drive-thru employee, who appeared inexperienced and lacked even basic customer service skills, is a prime example of the poor hiring and training practices here. It's not enough to simply fill positions with warm bodies; they must be trained and expected to perform to a professional standard.
If Panera expects to survive in this area, they need to seriously rethink who they’re hiring and how they’re managing...
