Taco John's — Restaurant in Hiawatha

Ordered a 6 pack and a pound, was overcharged for it, store employed got rather rude about it when questioned as to why. He refused to give me manager or general manager contact details. A lady got involved, claiming to be the manager. My guess is she was just a shift manager and she got even ruder than the kid who was serving up the orders. She also refused to provide the GM contact.

This was at the Hiawatha, Iowa store by the KwikStar on Blairs Ferry Rd. I usually don't eat at this story anyway, because the food quality swings up and down frequently. I do understand the difficulty in finding employees but these gems are definitely not what any company was for their public facing service staff.

Normally I would eat at the 1st Ave store however I did not feel like driving across town so my only option was the Hiawatha store or Taco Bell (who, in 10 years, has managed to screw up pretty much every order I have ever made).

Probably not likely that I will bother to patronize that...

Great staff I love Taco John's my only question though here is the container for the super potato Ole is much much smaller and it looks like the portion is much much smaller If this is the new portions for the super potato Ole I'm done I love Taco John's I've love them for nearly 20 years but seriously if this is what I'm getting for the price that I'm paying I'm just done there's a new Mexican place in your old location near lindale Mall that has much larger portions and I'll start going there

Edit they forgot my fork and the tea tastes like crap Maybe it's just this location I'll try a different location before I totally cut Taco John's from my life sad to see a 20 year business relationship end in such a way but that new Mexican place in your old location by lindale Mall is way...

I don't know if you can see but this taco John's was very light on the meat tonight. My husband usually can't finish a super potato olay but after this, he's not full and not happy. There seemed to be alot of kids working that I can tell. Off having side conversations and such. Not paying us much attention. I dont know if my husband will come back here. He's pretty annoyed with the service. Seemed like everything we ordered was half the size of what we usually would get. Had we known, we would have ordered accordingly. Taco John's is a little more expensive than other fast food drive throughs. So if its going to be like that, well it just isn't worth it. Sorry Taco John, your employees messed...
