I will not be back. This is the third time I've been served poorly prepared food here. Unfortunately, I came against my better judgement because the others in my group wanted to eat here. The restaurant was not busy and there were not many people in the entire place, and it was quite plain to see there were more than enough wait staff and service staff on duty at the time. So, for starters, we walked in and waited a few minutes till someone noticed us standing at the entrance and finally seated us. We ordered the triple dipper appetizer for three of us, then entrees for each of us. Less than five minutes later we received our entrees, though we had yet to receive the appetizers. As far as my meal, it was terrible!!! I ordered a brisket burger and fries, quite likely one of the most simple things on the menu; First, the fries were stale and barely warm, almost as if they had been sitting in a tray somewhere and hastily reheated in a microwave. The burger I had was obviously thrown together quickly and it was apparent whoever prepared it didn't pay attention to what they were doing and the patty was paper thin and a tiny lump of what looked like brisket; There was an abundance of sauce and slaw on it though, I guess to make up for the lack of meat. Several minutes after the entrees came the waitress came by, we told her the appetizers hadn't even arrived yet, she said that she put them in the system first and that she would check. About 10 minutes into the meal the appetizers finally arrived, which was fine because the only thing that I could eat on my entree was the burger itself, after scraping a ton of slaw and sauce from it, because everything else was simply terrible. The sad fact is, the appetizers actually tasted better than the entree, at least it was fresh. After our meal was done the bill came to roughly $72, 80 something after tip. The bill was paid and the waitress was tipped. I didn't complain to management in person because I was quite angry about the disgusting food and didn't want to embarrass the others in my party. I think this is far too much to pay for food that was barely edible, and to have to wait on appetizers to eventually get to your table after your entrees are pretty much finished. FYI, they are called appetizers for a reason!!!
For the record, I do not believe that this was the fault of the waitress in any way, she visited our table often, refilled drinks and was very courteous and professional. I do believe it was clearly the fault of a poorly trained unprofessional kitchen staff and incompetent management that should have been checking the quality of the food prepared for customers. Come on people, it's not that difficult to be halfway competent at your job!!! At the end of the day you applied to work there and I'm fairly certain they didn't go out and recruit you or force you to work there. Grilling a simple burger and preparing fresh fries isn't that difficult, especially when the business you're working at isn't even busy in the...
Read moreWe went to Chili’s to eat on Sunday and we were greeted by the girl at the door and asked if we could have a booth and she said yes that she would need to clean it off and we said ok, this white couple came in behind us and another girl had walked up front and took that couple and as the girl that took us was coming back to get us the other girl took that couple to our table, well they hadn’t been seated for a second and the girl that took us said you just gave them the table I cleaned for us and the girl that seated the other couple just started laughing like it was funny and instead of telling that couple that she sat them there by mistake that table was for us, she just kept laughing, so the girl that sat us went and got a lead person and told her what had happened and the lead goes to get the manager and he comes up front looking and acting like he was on drugs and insulted us, all he said was well mistakes happen and as we tried to tell him that he can make the situation right by giving us the table that we were waiting on and the white couple had just walked in the door and the other girl gave them our table, meanwhile the girl that made the mistake was still laughing. So the manager who was leaning on the counter up front like he was having trouble standing up straight told us to go pick out another table, his exact words were he is not going to disturb the white couple’s dinner and at this point they had been seated for about 10 minutes now so they had not ordered yet. He didn’t want to disturb their dinner but it was ok to disturb ours. He did not say I’m sorry, mistakes happen for your inconvenience I will comp your meal or dessert, or here is a gift card for your next visit. So after he said go pick out another table we did and was seated and here comes the manager again and tells us we have to wait to be seated and that we have to go back up to the front after he told us to go pick out another table. At this point we got up and left. Now going back the beginning if it was reversed and the white couple had been waiting and we just walked in the door and took their table that would have asked us to get up before we could have finished sitting down. We have been eating at Chilis for a long time but not anymore because of the racist, unfit, uneducated sorry excuse...
Read moreIf zero stars were an option, I would pick it. We have been to this establishment appropriately 20 times and it never has pleased me. My wife usually likes it so I will occasionally cave and agree to go there. I have never once been impressed with service or quality. Tonight for instance, we met some friends there (party of six with two infants), the wait time didn’t bother me but our party got a text saying the table was ready. We walk up to the hostess stand and they say, “Oh, well since you have children, we’re going to give you a table so it is easier.” So we wait an additional 10 minutes. No problem, I’d like to thank them for their generousity, it is a pain when high chairs are involved. Fast forward to the service, the waiter comes up, welcomes us and asks for drink orders. My friend and I order two beers, our wives order two waters and he walks away. Five minuets later he returns with the waters and says, “they are changing the Miller kegs it will be a couples minuets on the beer, can I get you started with some appetizers?” Yes sir, we’ll have endless chips and salsa and a table side guacamole.” He says, “thanks, I’m going to get those beers for you.” 10 minuets later the chips, salsa and guacamole show up, we ask about the beers and he says, “oh yeah they’ll be ready in just a second. Still No problem, until our entrees arrive, still no beer. We ask again and he tells us, “yes I’m going right now.” Five mins. later he shows up with our drinks. We go ahead and order another round knowing that it will be a while. By this time my wife cuts her ribs up and realizes her ribs are ice cold, my buddies wife orders fajitas and still hasn’t received her tortillas or her garnishes. Our daughter STILL hasn’t gotten her food. (She is almost 2 and doesn’t have very much patience) The waiter finally shows back up and asks, “how is everything?” “Sir, where should i start?” “ I explain our issues and he’s immediately says, “Let me get a manager.” I explain to the manager what our issues are and thankfully the manager apologizes and and corrects what can be corrected, but at this point it has already not been a great experience. I must say I have never been a fan of Chili’s but tonight takes the cake. I WILL NEVER VISIT ANOTHER...
