This is by far my adult sons favorite restaurant and we always come to ECW when they come from Asheville. We visited on Saturday, May 6th I believe around 1:30. The restaurant was not crowded having only one other table with diners there. We were not seated but rather told we could sit where we liked which was fine by us as we have a favorite booth on the bar side of the restaurant. We had a party of 6 but one was running late. Service initially was ok but she did bring the wrong beer on the first try. It was some sort of weak beer whereas we had ordered IPAs. No big deal. We didn't even mention it. Our drinks and food were delivered on time and then the server disappeared and during that time, the last guest of our party showed up and needed to order plus we all needed refills on our drinks at that point. The restaurant now had about 3 tables with diners (including us) plus a few people seated at the bar. We waited 15 minutes and our server was nowhere to be found. I got up from the booth and approached the bar and there was a man that was wearing an ECW polo shirt. I asked if he worked and he said yes. I then told him about needing our server to come back to which he replied well she's the only server on this side. I told him regardless of that fact, we still needed service. I was not rude or confrontational or being a 'Karen'. Instead of saying oh let me get your server for you, he just frowned and I headed back to the table. Out server showed up within minutes and loudly said to us WHAT DO Y'ALL NEED? I told her our last person to join the party needed to order to which she replied well I didn't even know she was here. If she had come back to check on us in a timely manner, she would've known! No apologies from her or the manager. She would then take our beer refill orders and walk off so fast that we had to wait yet again for her to come back so we could order dessert . We were not making unnecessary demands or numerous complicated orders. Just wings, beer, tater tots and a cookie skillet. When she brought the bill, she finally smiled but at this point I believe it was a gesture to ensure a larger tip. We left a $30 tip on a $100 bill. We love this restaurant and the food is always amazing but telling customers that you are short staffed and that's why your service was bad is not a way to keep...

WE got seated at 620pm Our food came out at 720pm a Whole hour of waiting and still our order was wrong.. so instead of making it a big deal and making them remake the plate we adk just to have sauce for the food since we didnt want to wait another hour or how ever lomg it was going to take them we asked for the sauce itself. waitress said she would bring it never brought it and we waited 5 min my husband got up to ask her again for our sauce and again she told him she would get it . I gave her 6 more min and finally went up to ask her again for it and also to speak to a manager young girl by the name of ashley if that is even her name and if she is even the manager told me she was the manager and I explained why I was upset and what our issue was we had been waiting for an hour they tried to blame it on being busy as well as having only a certain amount of staff there they continued to tell me that we were not the only table that waited that long and continued to make excuses. As soon as she gave me the sauce I would say less then 2 min later she brought our tab and threw it on our table . We looked over it since the total seemed off and they had charged us twice for the food that we ordered .when I went back to go speak to the so called manager she stated that they were supoose to fix that before it was placed on our table and again tried to make excuses for why it had happened ,and I explained to her that if I wouldnt have checked our check that I would be paying double our actual amount and that it was ridiculous that were making all those mistakes.this is not everything that happpened tonight worst...
Read moreWell...3 may be generous. I can assure you two of those three stars are for our waitress. Otherwise everything was quite subpar, enough that we certainly won't return. The hostess was nowhere to be seen when we got there. When she did come she said it'd be 25-30 minutes (for lunch). She then said "it'll probably really be 10 minutes but i just have to say that." Uhh...according to WHO do you need to lie? That was bizarre. So we go to the table she indicated and it hadn't been wiped down. She then came over and wiped it with a dirty looking rag. Got MOST of the crumbs off tho, wipes most of the table for a sec... The QR codes didn't work to pull up the adult or kids' menus. Eventually we were brought almost enough menus for everyone, but waitress said she had to hunt them down. One kid's menu to share, no crayons, etc. Our appetizer came out with no plates. Waitress said she was going to find some. She eventually came back with some full sized plates and said "better than nothing right?? Couldn't find anything else." Crazy that there weren't any appetizer plates for her to bring to a single table! My husband found a hair in his cheese fries. I had a gnat in my water. "Fruit cup" for the kid's menu is literally one of those pre-packaged things with fruit in syrup or whatever, not a cup of fresh fruit. Now I know! I did assume it'd be fresh since their carrots and celery come out cold and fresh. Husband said the bathroom was literally the worst he could remember seeing in recent history, absolutely disgusting. Waitress did ask if we wanted any drinks to go! So again, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. There just wasn't much she could...
