The food is good . The subs are always good at Jersey Mike’s at most locations. This review is specifically for the Hickory location.
If you’ve ever watched the movie, Keystone cops, it plays out every day in the store.
There’s always six employees in there running around in a 5 ft. x 5 ft Square behind the counter, bouncing into each other, looking dazed and confused , Asking each other, other questions and nobody knows what’s going on.
If you can manage to get in the store when there’s no other customers or maybe one other customer, you will be fine but if there’s more than three or four customers, you might wanna bring a lawn chair.
this place are on a constant rotation of new hires. Everyone in the store is training and when you return the next week, there’s a whole new set of employee still training. Every week or two is the same thing over and over and over so nobody ever knows what’s really going on and by the time you wait for a couple subs and a soda you could’ve actually went to the grocery store bought all the ingredients and went home and made it yourself saved yourself the time , aggravation...
Read moreProbably great if they could follow instructions. I asked them to not cut the sandwich. She turned to the other employee that wasn't understanding and said leave it whole he doesn't want it cut. Then the employee that explained that to the other employee picked up a knife and cut it in half right in front of me. I was so astounded I started stuttering you just reiterated what I said and agreed then did what I asked not to be done right in front of me. Almost out of spite with no reason to be spiteful. I drive a truck and it is less messy to eat in one peice and I can roll the wrapper down and eat the food and the mess stays in the wrapping. That doesn't work when its cut into peices you have no choice but to open the wrapper and a good sub is a sloppy sub and it runs down my shirt and makes a mess in my truck. Really how much trouble is it to leave it in one solid peice when requested? In reality I was asking them to do less work not anything extra. I...
Read moreI ordered yesterday and received a brownie that was rock hard. I emailed in to let them know and they never responded.
I ordered 8 subs today, only 7 were in the bag when I returned to the office. I called and spoke with Brent the manager who told me that the store is a mess and they hired him to fix it. He said he could make the sandwich in 3 minutes and have it delivered to me within 15 minutes. He also said that the brownie will get rock hard if any cooler air gets on it, he said they need to triple wrap them to keep them fresh. 45 minutes later my boss was still starving (of course it is the bosses sandwich that was missing) I called Brent again and was told that the owners sister works up front and she called off today so he is going to have to fire her, but he would get my sandwich to me soon.
I told him to forget the food and credit my card for the brownie and sandwich. Don't go to this store, it has seriously gone down...
