After not getting waited on at IHOP a few weeks ago, we decided to try Bob Evans. We had a great breakfast experience, the food was good and the service was the best we had in a long time. The servers name was Katy, and she was fabulous! So we went back yesterday (12/21/23) at 7:00 to try dinner. The waitress was nice enough... when she came around. 🙄 My husband ordered a chicken ranch sandwich that was supposed to come with bacon and fries. When the waitress brought the plate out, there was but a handful of fries on the plate (literally 15 fries) and no bacon. The chicken was as thin as a slice of bologna (the tomatoe was thickerbthan the chicken). She did not say a word about the missing bacon and never came around to check on us. When I went up and asked about the missing bacon, she said "oh we ran out." I told her that he was expecting bacon and asked what the price difference without bacon was. They knocked off a whole $1.10 and did not offer to adjust any further or conp anything. When I brought up my concerns, they were quickly dismissed without an apology. I worked in the restaurant industry for almost 15 years and I would've never considered giving the service we received that night, would've let my customer know that an item was missing without them having to chase me down to tell me, and I would've advocated for the restaurant to comp part of their meal of give a gift certificate (even for $5 or $10 dollars) to try and get the customer to come back. Read moreWe placed a catering order on 11/18/2021 for out works thanksgiving lunch. When we arrived we got there about ten mins early. We were told it would be another 25 mins...cool thats fine, we waited. When we get the food I told the manager I wanted to go through it because lately we have been missing food anytime we order from anywhere. I get an evil look from the manager who wasn't nice to start off. I check my order (thankfully)!!!!! there was no gravy and we were supposed to have two and the corn was half full. I asked for the corn to be filled up and got an attitude from the manager. When she comes back she proceeded to tell me its measured by weight so its never full. Funny thing is we ordered from here last year as well and it was full. The whole time this manager has a HORRIBLE attitude and is also yelling across the restaurant at her employees. I have worked in the restaurant business for a long time now. This is NOT how you treat your customers and this is not how you treat your employees. Not to mention there were many elderly people waiting to be seated and no one was helping them....oh and there was barley ANYONE in this restaurant. This manager needs to be fired if you plan on treating your customers and employees the way she does. Just because you have had a bad day doesn't mean you treat everyone poorly....
Read moreIt was a really depressing experience. My partner and I waited around 5-10 min to be approached at the host stand. We were debating whether to leave and right as we were about to leave to go somewhere else, someone came up to seat us. When we were seated, the table was very wet (I don't mind this as much, because it literally takes us 2 seconds to wipe it down with our napkins - not a big deal) However, it took 5-10 more min for someone to approach us to take our order (again - no big deal because I know how it is now a days). When the waitress did arrive, she took my drink order but did not ask my partner what he wanted at all, did not even ask him if we wanted a drink like he was invisible. When she came back with my drinks, the coffee was incorrect (no biggie again), I ordered iced coffee, I received hot coffee. The problem is the waitress argued with me. She stated "Now I had this problem with another customer the other day. They ordered one thing but meant to order another thing and started to point at the menu" I know what I ordered.
The entire interaction left me very uncomfortable, so we left. We stated we were leaving and the waitress was like "Oh, where are you going"? It was just...
