Will be contacting corporate tomorrow morning! Very bad if not the worst experience I have ever had at a notable upper class restaurant! We arrived and was made aware there was about a 30 minute wait which my wife and I agreed upon due to it being date night and wanting such food as o charleys offers and class in which the restaurant usually upholds. However once seated things then turned to HELL. The waitress which didnt say her name greet us nor refill our sweet teas, only worried about the boy working in the same section... Which later in our visit we discovered was her boyfriend outside of work. My wife and I ordered steaks with the top shelf combo appetizer ( so not a cheap outing for date night) and upon getting our appetizer platter the pepper jack cheese wedges were cold sauces were spilled on the platter and on the food that niether of us like to eat with anything on the platter. My wife was facing the bathroom / kitchen direction and explained as to why it was cold as well as her loaded potato soup was. The boyfriend of the girl had brought it out but didnt know where it went so set it down on a table for our waitress to find about 6 minutes later. Only bringing it out for the general manager was in the kitchen trying to get customers orders out in timely fashion. We let this experience go for understanding things happen when busy. However once we recieved our steaks they both were undercooked my wife ordered medium rare and recieved it less than extra rare which she did not say anything about but then upon cutting into mine ordered medium well it was cooked medium rare. I then decided to just eat my baked potato and grilled shrimp waiting for a manager or waitress, I couldn't, for it was hard inside cold not even warm enough to melt butter nor cheese. Stopped eating waiting on someone my wife then approached the manager, but was stopped by the waitress with the plate in her hand asking what the problem was. Minutes later I recieved a plate by the general manager with the same steak I had cut into and eaten a few bites of and cut into pieces , the steak was the same steak I had cut into and even the bite size pieces I had cut along with the 3/4 of the rest of steak cut into half.. "This in itself is a health code violation." Upon getting My steak back as I had cut it into pieces and all I was ask to cut into the large part to see if cooked well this time around I tried a bite and it was burnt on the outside and cooked medium well as I had ordered in the first place but getting past the burnt outer layer was more than I could bare. I was also ask to try My loaded potato to see if it was warm enough I stated " well it still isnt hot enough to melt cheese but it will do" the manager apologized and then walked away . My wife never said anything about her steak nor appetizer platter. Nor the fact The small plate for eating rolls was dirty and had to be set aside. The general manager should have known better than to do this as well as notify she would be taking this from our bill and maybe even ask if thier was anything else that was going on or if everything else was good. This is the worst experience I have ever had taking my wife out for date night having 4 children this is a rare delight we get. My wife only ate 3 bites of rare steak for it was to undercooked and a half of a pepper jack cheese wedge on this outing, that I had to pay almost 40 $ for. Together we only ate 6 bites of steak half of a cheese wedge and a loaded baked potato along with grilled shrimp, maybe 8-10$ worth including our drinks. Along with everything else then counting our food I would say positively the very worst experience at an upscale restaurant I...
Read moreMy friend and I had lunch today at the Hickory restaurant to celebrate her birthday. We arrived early to miss the 12 oclock rush. I obviously had a gift in my hands when we checked in. It wasn't crowded at all so I thought we would surely get a nice booth or table as we usually did when we dine there. We had to stand and wait while the girl stared at the seating chart like she was trying to figure out where to seat us. We were finally led to the only 2 seater table in the restaurant which is quite small. I ask the guy seating us if we could get a booth since there were empty booths all around us. He looked dumbfounded and had to go back up front to find out where to seat us. He sat us in the booth in the back corner. While waiting I noticed the older couple behind us being seated in a nice booth in the window area. From there it went down hill rapidly. Our server arrived promptly to take our drink order but that was the only prompt thing she did. Took several minutes before water and tea arrived. Placed our order and waited. My friend got her soup she ordered right away but it was a good 15 minutes before her sandwich and my food arrived. We had only seen our server once since taking our order. Someone else brought our food. My sandwich was cold, dry and the cheese wasn't even started to be melted. Never saw our server again until after a good while when she ask if we wanted dessert. We decided to wait a little while. When we finally placed our order I ask for coffee. After 15 minutes we finally got our pie but no coffee. She said she would be right back. My friend realized she did not have a fork because the server cleared the table. After more than 10 minutes I caught another waitress to see if we could get some help. It was another 5 minutes or more before I finally got my coffee and a fork. This was the worst service and worst food by far that I have ever had at your restaurant. We were there to eat and celebrate a 70th birthday. I am very disappointed in this visit and I'm most definitely not returning...
Read moreThe deciding factor to eat here was a short 30 minute dinner rush wait time. We skipped the line and jumped over to the bar. Ordered a house margarita blended with sugar, the best I could say was she tried for a seasoned bar tender. She blended the sour mix and poored the mixture over ice. This is an apsolute first for me. Then proceded to argue that she made it right. I further explained that I meant a frozen margarita, with sugar on the rim. She asked if she could just blend the current one, I said sure and she proceded to use a stick and her finger to pull the lime slice out of the margarita. She saw the very clear displeased look on my face and then dumped it out and made a fresh drink. No further exchanges were made between me and her until our table came available. We walked over to the table and were greated very quickly. She took our drink order quickly and brought our drinks seemingly just as fast, his drink was made wrong and mine was simple, water. She essentially all but disappeared, I contributed this to the establishment being busy still left empty glasses on the table for almost 10 minutes. We placed our order and she did not show her face until time to leave. Our appetizer was delivered by one man and dinner delivered by another. While he was eating, the bar tender brought the bar check over and asked him to pay. I was displeased by this for multiple reasons. The overall environment is open but cramped leaving you eating dinner with another family at least it did for me. I was less then a foot away from 2 different individual heads. One behind me and one on the opposite side of a wall. That's just a little higher then the table. Ultimately leaving me uneasy for the topic of the conversation wasnt family friendly by any means.
The end result is I will not be returning to...
